I'm not sure about this game but generally speaking on Xbox Live a single gold account can take up to three guests online. They'll just be named (Your Gamertag) 1, 2 and 3. Halo does this, Perfect Dark does it etc - I can only imagine Gears is the same, but probably only for 2 due to engine limitations.

What bothers me about the multiplayer is that the round are so sort. I want something like first one with 80 kills wins or so. PC style iow.

The hell, GoW2 is saying my firewall settings are too strict, only game that has done this to me...

Edit: My 360 is saying my NAT is strict, which is retarded because my 360 is set up to be in my networks DMZ...

Good question. I know I used to play CoD3 like this and it worked, but I remember trying another game recently and it didn't work.

I have been playing for a while today and I have not played one game that was 5v5 and not laggy, I think I might go back to Halo until this is fixed.

I thought that you could bring a guest to a private match, but not for public matches. Same as in Gears 1 how you could have a guest in player matches but not in ranked. Now basically Ranked = public and player = private. Which is pretty silly if you ask me. You should be able to play with a guest in a match without having it be invite only.

Finally got around to finishing the campaign this morning. I was mostly satisfied by it. The final fight was a bit of a let down. Now to do an insane run co-op style which is where I actually had the most fun with the first.

Oh my god has this been posted

    http://www.360sync.com/2008/12/04/grains-of-war-cereal-coming-soon

If it has it needed to be posted again.

Is it bad that I want that cereal? Cuz I would eat it. Really. Also, who else loves Terry Tate for not taking himself too seriously to be the Cole Train? We could certainly do with more people like that.

Well, he IS the only VA in the game who could conceivably play his character in a movie.

Was anyone else surprised by how abruptly this game ends? I spent 10 seconds holding down right trigger and apparently killed the final boss when I wasn't looking.

This is just pathetic. My friend and I waited for about 30 minutes for a wingman game before quitting out of boredom. Wingman! All this stupid matchmaking system had to do was drag up 4 other teams of 2.

You or your friend are a bad host, finding wingman games with my mate instantaneously.

Don't blame the game blame the playa.

    I do now.

Spruchy: I have UPnP enabled and have my 360 in the DMZ. My NAT is open. I don't see how this could by my 360s fault.

Though, I'm willing to fiddle with more settings if I must. I think I have it all set up right though, anyone got a good site or something?

What the hell does the host have to do with it? The game doesn't determine the host until it actually finds all the players , the matchmaking in this game goes from good to horrible and swings a hell of a lot.

edit - Unless you mean the "host" of the party. In which case you have a point , but the matchmaking is still wildly inconsistent.

Yeah, just a little bit ago the matchmaking service found a me a whole team and got me in an elimination match in under 2 minutes. It is quite spotty, I hope they can iron it out though.

Yeah, I thought that part was a little too easy, simple. It was cool...but quick.

I just finished the game. Damn, it's certainly epic. It makes Gears 1 feel bland.

I've only played Horde mode a few times, and with pickup games we didn't last long. I'm looking to play some more with people that aren't going to just run out and get killed every wave.

Anyone, send me an invite: operatorc

This game is incredible. Best main campaign ive ever played. Fucking hell, it pulls no punches. The writing is actually pretty damn good and the lines are delivered exceptionally. It kind of reminds me of Buffy how everyone is so 'laugh in the face of danger - but its still dangerous'.

I do not understand the 'meh' sentiment behind this games main campaign. Its the best ive ever seen. I wasnt a fan of the first. But my god, its just brilliant on every level. The fucking end, the return of the jedi section, the last fight, everything leading up to it, the character models, sounds, combat, co-op. Fucking incredible and Im actually pretty aggrivated that the reaction its recieved is so 'whatever'.

Its genious. Balls to the wall flat out undeniable perfection and I dont care who knows it.

I'm actually a pretty big fan of the main campaign. It occupies a very comfortable place between "not serious at all" and "okay maybe a little". It's just fun

The heart tap at the end between the two helicopters. The writing is good. I dont care what anyone says. For a video game it is very good writing. The ending was spectacular, rewarded you in every way. Easily my favourite main campaign in any game. Not a damn thing to fault in it. Payoff after payoff after payoff. Fucking stunning.

There was not a single line I cringed at.

The game quite frankly deserves a lot more praise than it got.

I played the game in two sittings with a friend. Was perfect way to play it, like dividing up a great experience into two manageable chunks. Seriously the ending had some sequences that could've been taken from the Matrix sequels or the Day After Tommorow. And probably had better dialogue and writing than both really.

To me, Resident Evil 4 is bad writing and a bad story. This game was like a corny movie, it was not badly written, and did not have a 'bad' story. If you think this game had a bad story, pretty much every game has a bad story, I lump this one up the top of the heap somewhere honestly.
