I always kind of figured that if the Torchwood laser research had been allowed to progress, the Earth might actually be able to defend its own fucking self from alien invasions by now and in the long run, lives would've been saved. I keep at least two jars of pepperoncinis in the house at all times. Nothing settles my stomach faster, regardless of the circumstances, and a regular diet of hot peppers (not too many) is actually effective at stopping ulcers from forming.
They've gotten me through final exams during bouts of the flu and everything. Most of the meds I take fuck my stomach up in one way or another, and they are just an absolute godsend when I need to at least appear like I'm not a walking plaguebearer.
