Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

A post history, not so much, but she does have an account on here:
http://forums.penny-arcade.com/member.php?u=37116
A member since August.
I know shes active on other forums, she doesn't use the same name sometimes, but I could easily post here her other aliases and such.
edit: though, I'm pretty sure we've let lurkers take part in SS years prior.
I don't think there's any problem so long as she meets the requirements (registered account before certain date) and follows through with sending a gift.
If she isn't very stalkable it just means that her santa won't be able to try to customize a gift that fits her. That's all.

I'm a guy in my early 20's. I wear a shirt size XL. I own every Nintendo console (no virtual boy), a Dreamcast, PS2, PSP, DS, oXbox, 360, and my roommate has a PS3 for which I own games. I used to work at Blockbuster, so I am definitely a movie-watcher, especially with the horror genre. I am not artistically inclined in any way at all. I don't read nearly as much as I'd like to, but am not necessarily opposed to books. Just not sure when I'd get to reading my next book (I'm still on the 6th Harry Potter, and I've been reading them since the second one first came out). Last but not least, I enjoy listening to music, and my only real genres I can think of that I don't care for are country and rap/hip-hop. Also perhaps no heavy metal stuff either.
Can't really think of anything else. I've not posted on here a whole lot about my tastes that I can remember, but where I post can usually be a good indication of my gaming tastes I suppose.
Now, time to go poke the Doc and get that PM sent.
A mauve painting bag.
Is that also the ingredient that makes beer taste like I am tea-bagging a hyena's anal pouch?
Worst mental image ever. Seriously!
This isn't the Christmas Spirit! We're not supposed to be talking about a hyena's anal pouch. Save that for January!
e: Lame top of the page post brought to you by your fellow honky from the boards.
We still love you (me at least).
EDIT: Removed the worst mental image ever thing. I suggest others do likewise.

He lies. We all hate you.
This applies to quoting this post, too.
Time to catch up with the ol' spreadsheet!
edit: holy crap 174 people. 12 people in the past day... looks like we'll settle right under 200. Gosh.
Noone is allowed to say OVER 9000 THOUSAND
First off, no NSFW/porn or what have you. I'm spending the holidays with my family this year, and they're pretty conservative (and older). I don't want them to be shocked or offended or whatever on a holiday, because I intend to be good and not open anything until Christmas (although I will take a pic and post it when I get a package).
Game systems are Wii, DS, GBA, and PSP. I can't afford a PS3 or 360 right now, which sucks, but I do love my portables (and don't mind the Wii). I may have posted about a few games I don't have yet somewhere around here. (I'll take an obvious one off the table, as I preordered the new DS Castlevania already.) I don't like sports games, and am not a big FPS or RTS player (although I do play them occasionally), but anything else is OK. I don't mind getting games, because my gaming budget is a little thin this year.
I like pretty much any gaming-related swag apart from trading/playing cards (they look cool, but I'm bad at the games). I'm a huge Metroid fan and really like Castlevania, if that helps. But I'm not picky about this kind of thing.
Books--I likes books. Science fiction and crime fiction are best, but I also like some fantasy stuff, and I like reading popular scientific nonfiction, as well as books on movies or music. Some authors I like are John Scalzi, Neil Gaiman, Sue Grafton, Douglas Adams, and Elmore Leonard. Also comics. I like Bone (wouldn't mind getting to read all of it), stuff by Grant Morrison, Joss Whedon, or Warren Ellis, and classic Lee/Kirby Marvel among many other things. Don't read much manga but I do like a bit of it (Azumanga Daioh, Excel Saga for example). Not into the Star Wars EU stuff.
Movies--my favorite directors are Terry Gilliam, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, and Akira Kurosawa. I also like John Woo's Hong Kong stuff (I like Hong Kong stuff in general, actually) and classic horror/monster movies ('30s Universal, or Hammer horror). Also gangster movies. I also like some anime (early Gainax like Wings of Honneamise, Studio Ghibli, Excel Saga again).
TV--I'm an incipient Joss Whedon nerd, apparently, but somehow don't own any Buffy even though I have the Firefly set. I also like Fawlty Towers, Black Adder, Flight of the Conchords, Psych, The Office (either UK or US), etc. (I already have all of the seasons so far of House, and all of Arrested Development.)
Clothes--I wear a 2 or 3XL shirt (yeah, I'm a fatty... but I've managed to successfully lose and keep off 50 pounds in the last 15 months, so nyah). Anything geeky or comfortable is fine with me.
Tech Toys--I like gadgets, so, not picky.
Candy--I try not to eat a lot of candy any more, and can't eat hard candy at all (they would screw up my crowns, and I've had enough root canals lately, thanks), but I like getting local stuff--chocolates or whatever--that I can't get in the Western US. Any local color stuff at all is cool with me, actually.
So I tried not to go into too much detail, and probably failed, but I didn't want to put up a detailed wish list, just give you a few ideas. I don't post a whole lot, so there isn't much there for stalking.

In addition to being a video game nerd, I'm also a rather big anime otaku (hence my avatar). I've already spent hundreds on my current vacation in Japan buying various anime/video-game soundtracks and other assorted knick-knacks. I would recommend not buying me a game or anime, since I probably already have ones that I want, but I'll gladly take any random trinket that you think would be cool.

I really enjoy puzzles as well, logic puzzles on paper, or the ones you have to put together (3-D puzzles rock, as do Lego's!). I do enjoy reading, but most of what I read is movie-related books (guides for television series (I currently have Part 1 of the Firefly guide, but not part 2), books that were later made into a movie, and compliation books about the Oscars, screenplays, etc. The only comics I read religiously are Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.
For TV I obviously love BtvS and most Whedon stuff (I have all Buffy, Angel, Firefly DVD's), Chuck, The Office, Felicity, Soprano's, Six Feet Under (I have all the DVD's of these, but this is an example of what I like). I'm a HUGE ST:TNG fan, (as in I have blueprints of the Enterprise), and I only have Seasons 5,6, and 7 on DVD so far. I have the first DVD set of Sliders, which I really enjoyed, and I've always been curious about How I Met Your Mother, but haven't actually watched any of it. I'm currently Netflixing the Nip/Tuck series.
For any clothing items, I'd be a large shirt size. I enjoy t-shirts and tank tops, and some hats. I like any kind of cool toys or quirky things to decorate your house (like weird lamps, candle holders, that kind of thing). I sit at a desk in a cubicle all day, and to give you an example of the kind of stuffI decorate with, I have some acrobots hanging around my desk and a Borg bobblehead as well. I have a second job working the Geek Squad at Best Buy.
This number, it must be broken!
So, I'm married and in the military.
Shirt, I wear a Medium. I like shirts with designs or charactes on them, but anything with a "quirky" line of text, I probably wont wear. Also, I live in Albuquerque, so for the love of god, no black.
Systems: Wii, 360, DS and PC are probably what all gets the most attention. I have almost every system out there sans a PS3 and a Virtual Boy.
I pretty much just made the jump to HD, though I'm missing one ingredient, Blu-ray, but I don't plan on adding it anything soon. I've got a 52" LCD TV, and a 5.1 Surround sound.
I'm a pretty big Nintendo Franchise whore. Marios, Zeldas, Kirbys, etc... I dont' care what any "macho" guy says, Kirby is the man.
We love pets. Currently we have a Dog, Cat, and Rabbit. (Go figure the Rabbit is the dominant animal of the house)
I played WoW forver ago, gave it up December of last year. I replaced my WoW addication with my 360. bought Rock Band and Halo, and I honestly spend about 50 hours a week collectively on them.
For Movies, I love thrillers, or the types of movies where some elaborate plan is played thru, and then after they succeed, they go back and show you the little details you probably weren't paying attention to. Kinda like Ocean's 11.
The Misses decided she'll hold off on SS until next year, but if you're curious, she absolutely loves Haruhi. We're both also big Bleach watchers, though we haven't touched anything that hasn't been officially dubbed yet, which puts us in the middle of the first filler chunk (god damn bount arc is horrible).
We just recently got into watching "The Office" and "Always Sunny".
I'm not gonna lie, typically, I can't stand reading. I don't know what it is, but my mind just requires more visual stimulation. Graphic novels are okay, but most books I just can't finish.
Thats all for now... Gotta leave something to "hunt" for, right?
I'm not really convinced I should give help to my Santa; I'll say I take a small t-shirt, but other than that, I think it's more fun if you're on your own
EDIT: Oh, no food. Allergies are a hassle
I won't try to give a terrible present, but oh man it'll be a terrible present.
If I am your santa, you will get something wacky and fun. I will absolutely not be buying a game for anyone. Cool stuff is so much better than something you could just buy anywhere.
I should be.

He is a mean one, that Mr Grinch.
I think their SS needs to send them a copy of Halo 3 wrapped in a roast beast.
So why aren't you, then? even Lewie is!

"The power of the weirdness compels me."
I was born, and pretty much grew up in Philadelphia. I spent alot of time on the playground, even up untill I was a teen (but I suppose I was playing basketball by then). Unfortunatly, I wound up getting into a pretty nasty fight with this one group of guys who just kept harassing me. My mom, still realing from being left by her husband, decided that she couldn't take care of me and shipped me off to live with some relatives I kinda knew in California.
So I landed in Cali and had to take a funky-ass lookin cab because I had pretty much no cash. Note: Funky-ass, illegitimate cabs, are cheap. I got to my aunts house sometime that evening and holy shit, had she done well for herself.
Life has been a riot ever since.
But seriously, Santa
Yeah the first 10-15 or so received emails instead of PMs. If you're on the list in the OP, you're good to go.

Luckily I'm not signing up for this until next year.
Something about me sending off/receiving presents to and from random internet people would likely confuse my parents. Next year I'll be off to college and all over this.

Have a DS, oXbox, PS2 and access to a 360.
Fairly up to date PC. Not cutting edge anymore but it fits my needs
Huge scifi/fantasy reader. Big fan of Matt Stover (you'll find that out searching my posts I'd imagine) but I've got all of his books already, but if you know of someone with a similar style...
For my Santa:
Also, I'm renting a room in a house with some pretty conservative people. Please keep that in mind as they get the mail and bring it to my room.

I gotcha. I haven't had the time to update the OP for a day or so.
