Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Secret Santa 2008! No one on the corner gives swagga like us.

you are now required to post pictures of said failed craft when your santee posts the loot.
It actually looks pretty good, I just didn't think through all the steps and created something that's impossible to finish without destroying.
required!
So I log in and see I have a private message. I get all excited cause I thought it was something to do with secret santa, but it turns it it's an infraction for posting on the spam thread.
Ditto.
The Dentist, being the jerk that he is, pulled out all 4 of my wisdom teeth yesterday. I could really use some cheering up right now.
I never asked for this!
Santee lives one state away, so shipping time should be 2 days max, but who knows when you cut it so close.
Can you modify your order to just ship directly to your Santee and send the rest of the gift earlier when you're sure it'll get there in time?
Turns out it was my cap and gown for my graduation in two weeks.
I guess I should be excited about that too.

YES!
I am a PC gamer, and I like pretty much all kinds of games. I also enjoy gaming apparel and books of most kinds.
I really enjoy science fiction but own pretty much only the works of Peter F Hamilton.
It was my order of sculpting wax that I've been waiting for.
I'm glad, I guess.
Oh Secret Santa postal delivery services, why do you tease me?!
I will be mailing your present in the next few days. I've been lazy and sick... be prepared for a wicked case of Dysentery embedded in the box.
We're all doomed, aren't we.
Also, nice dolphin, fag.

It's those extra touches that make the present special.
That is so cool.
I'm going to get my other half to wrap the gifts, she's better at this kind of thing than me!

Dear Gift-sender: I received your gift ages ago and have been too busy. But thank you so much, it really was awesome and thoughtful, and I'll upload some photos soon.
Selling my 16GB Wifi iPad 1. UK people only, £150. PM me.
Edit:
One of the gifts isn't gift wrapped, but they'll live. Still eagerly awaiting my gift of course
My mom and brother came over so we could go out to eat. Sometime after that, I went out to check the weather to see which jacket to wear and found this on my front doorstep:
At first, I thought it was something from my neighbor's family, since their daughter mows what passes as our lawn. Nope, there was a little note attached.
Because the lighting in my house sucks, I'll translate:
To: Tigress
From: PA Secret Santa
Merry X-Mas!
What?! My Santa lives close enough near me to put it on my doorstep?! Since my mom and brother were ready to go eat, I put it aside and went to gorge myself on Golden Corral and see Bolt. We came home, saw my family off and came in for the unwrappings.
It's Kuro Neko! Whoever this local mystery Santa is, s/he knows my tastes.
A burned CD of an indie band. Haven't had a chance to listen to it, but I'm putting it in my car's CD player when I drive to work tomorrow night.
Sweet! This book is on my wish list of books I wanted to read. I'm going to start reading it as soon as I get through my backlog of magazines.
Again, this person knows my tastes quite well. FLCL is one of my all-time favorite anime series. So much so that I now have two copies of this manga. But I know someone that will enjoy it.
I've never seen this movie. I've got something to watch at work tomorrow night. (10-hour shift on third and no claims to process. Yeah, gonna be a long, boring night.)
This... looks interesting. I'll give it a read tonight while I'm waiting for Vyolynce to get off the Wii.
So thank you very much, whoever you are! I'd really like to know who you are given that you apparently live close enough to leave it on my doorstep.
And yes, you have to be local. No one knows how to get to my house unless they've already been here before.
Mine's getting syphilis! (My local gaming store sells those giant microbe plushy thingies.)
D:
Everyone wants to pass around diseases, why not a little dark matter to brighten your winter holiday? Or if you'd rather pass on some sores, then I'm not going to stop you.
Oh man WE3! Do you like animals? Then this might get to you. One of the best things Morrison's ever done.
Fixed.
I just finished reading it. Poor bunny!
And yes, I like animals and had considered becoming a vet at one point. It did upset me a little bit. (Again, poor bunny! And poor puppy, as well.) But the comic is an intriguing concept and I enjoyed it nonetheless.
You said it! My absolute favorite John Carpenter movie is Big Trouble in Little China, but his apocalypse trilogy is right up there (The Thing, Prince of Darkness, and In the Mouth of Madness.) The Thing's different mutating forms still freak me out to this day whenever I watch it. Oh, those poor doggies. D:
