The other thread hit critical mass, so I thought I'd start a new one. For those unfamiliar, here is where we post about toys. Glorious toys.

I just managed to pick up a Galactus Mugg, which is pretty fucking sweet. Here's a checklist, since everyone's into these damn things:

I leave you with a picture that warms my heart:

I/anjin picked up the Justice Series 4 Black Adam from the shop for $16. I didn't really want to spend the money, but it goes online for $60-$120 so I figured that it was a good nab

    I say "I/anjin" because I bought it so he couldn't because I'm a dick

    I want the Robin :(

My comic places don't even carry the Mattel line. They carry DC Direct stuff, an then Marvel Legends stuff.

I think I might venture to a Mattel store nearby.

    There's another of him standing.

Also, can anyone tell me why there are red variants of the above statue and the one I just mentioned? Has Iron Fist worn a red costume, at some point?

According to a blog comment I found:

'At one time, right before Power Man & Iron Fist was cancelled, IF was dying of radiation poisoning. So they went to K'un L'un to get him cured. He was replaced by a plant person (a H'ylthri if you want to get technical), and it wore this costume. It was killed by a boy who transformed into "Captain Hero (too long a story to get into; though the funny part is at the time, Power Man was suspected)." So you have the evil imposter Iron Fist!'

It was around the time of Secret Wars II, apparently.

I am working on expanding my Mattel DC Superheroes collection, but the stores I go to are either 1) Horrible at stocking that line or 2) Sold out.

It is like this everywhere. With Marvel Legends now officially at double the price they started at, more and more people are flocking to the cheaper and superior-in-quality DCUC figures. Combine that with Mattel's generally crappy distribution and complete lack of understanding in the action figure market these days, and you've got a perfect storm for scalpers. There are stores around here with pegs for the DC line that i have literally not seen get a single figure since the line started.

I've managed to score the first three waves so far with a TON of hunting, with the exception of Aquaman and Harley Quinn, which i'm pretty sure were both released directly to ebay.

Hmmm... was hoping on something with the recent costume since the comic has become so beloved. I would kill for a statue of Danny and Orson back to back with Orson flaming up his guns.

Hope you enjoy a long wait then. We've still got Iron Man, new Captain America, Captain Marvel and Anti-Venom coming before anything else. The delay didn't help either, it was 16 months between the Skrull/Brood two-pack and Thor. Hopefully things will pick up again, but unless Iron Fist has a big part to play in a crossover or another medium, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Still, the ML one isn't that bad, I think.

There's the Bowen Designs one that was previously mentioned. Let me know if they screw up the hotlink.

Edit: I'm pretty sure the Iron Fist effect is photoshopped in. I saw this statue just yesterday and it didn't have the glowing hand.

Edit: Ah, it has switchable hands.

Awesome! I don't like the mask as much as I like the traditional Kerberos mask, but it looks really damn cool.

Too lazy to take better pics. I have to admit to being a little disappointed in HT Bats; he's got a paunch that bothers the fuck out of me, and is pretty fragile (each gauntlet lost one spike, which needed to be reglued in, and some of the hands are pretty difficult to get on the pegs). I do like how poseable he is even with the rubber suit, though.

I need another Detolf pretty badly, but eh ... it won't be for a while. So I have a crowded Detolf for now.

I still really like the HT one, but there are issues with it that bug the hell out of me. The paunch in his gut comes from the overlap between the leggings and the top of the rubber suit. I'm gonna try something else to fix it later today, though. If you can find a good deal on HT's, I would say go for it because it is awesome ... but not without issue.

If I had to choose one, I'd probably still stick with Takara Bats, though.
