making this guy walk around is like driving a bus

Are you playing it on PC?

Turn sensitivity right up high, and turn off V-sync. It's not exactly the most competant PC port.

    no, 360

    to hell with your V-SINKS
oh well then... you should play the superior platform!

seriously this is a good looking game with some good atmosphere and it was fun and all

but man, making this dude move around is clunky as dang hell and looking at stuff is hard and i'm not thrilled with the controls at all

i'm sure after playing awhile i'll get used to it, it was just kinda surprising

walking is fine but trying to run through narrow corridors is a bitch and a half

really that's the way with all survival horror games like that though.

I had a Dead Space dream too!

But instead of Iron Man it was Solid Snake and Geese Howard

I love the contact gun but maaaan does it is not a quick reaction gun at all. It's alt-fire helps give me time to charge it up though. Also I used the alt-fire on the bolt rifle a lot. Only once though did one of my bullets ricochet back and hit me. Right in the fucking head.

I generally carry with me the contact beam, force gun, line gun and bolt rifle. Also with the line gun, with the mines, if you launch two or more near each other they send beams of energy to each other but I can't tell if it actually has any effect.

so this game is a lot like metroid?

    Nope, not really.

I mean, the ship map looks exactly like old school metroid, but it's a totally linear game. Yeah, there are some choices, but it's only a choice of how you order objectives and it's effectively Door 1 or 2 decisions.

And throughout the game you're in the exact area of the ship they want you in, with no exceptions. It does not remind me of metroid very much at all to be honest.

I had trouble with that the first few times until I realised that if you just put the thing in the whole and then let go of kinesis, it clicks in by itself.

I rented this game and had an awesome time playing through it, fucking great atmosphere and I didn't have any troubles with controls. I might buy it when it drops in price so I can run through it on hard and pick up a few of the achievements I missed (I didn't bother doing the b-ball or shooting range stuff, didn't want to waste time/ammo on my first run through)

Did that come with one version of the game or another, or do they mean "companion" like "go buy this other stuff too 'cause they match"?

It's alright, but not nearly as good as the animated comics.

It also makes me sad, because they get to use the perfect weapon for taking down space zombies (that wasn't in the game).
