How the fuck does that work? If they've never been seen, how are they important?

Because 9% think it's too high, and shouldn't be cut! 9% of respondents could not fully
get their arms around the question. There should be another box you can check for, "I

    Hrm.

I can't help but be interested in seeing heroes from the 52 Earths help out in the Crisis. Really, I just want to see the Charlton/Watchmen Earth's Blue Beetle. The villain books, outside the Grundy book, look kind of weak, and ordinarily I'd be wary of the implications that Prometheus and Deathstroke are going to kill some superheroes, but luckily most of my favorites are already dead, and the rest aren't important enough to be event-worthy deaths. Though I notice Cass Cain is conspicuously absent from the Outsiders cover. It's kind of weird to see DC apparently throwing some weight behind that book with Kubert and Tomasi, given its tumultuous history and mediocre sales. But it'd be cool if Tomasi took over the main book, especially with Creeper on the roster.

The JLA solicit kind of confuses me. Assuming they're talking about the female Dr. Light, she's had her powers back for a long time. If they're talking about the male Dr. Light, well, that death sure didn't last long. And Starbreaker? For reals? The dude got punked by Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. C'moooonnn.

Kind of disappointed the Grundy book being a retelling of his origin. I also wish a Z-List character was getting a one-shot, since I enjoy those stories the most.

That was my first thought. I'm not sure if the woman in the upper right is Katana or Huntress, and who's in the lower left? The black, high collar and blonde hair make me think Black Canary, but it could be Halo, which would make more sense.

What's up with Geo Force's mask? It's usually a Booster Gold-like half-cowl, but look at how his hair's visible on the side of his head. It'd have to be glued to his forehead.

  • KeithKeith Registered User regular
Yeah I thought that was Huntress at first, too. I wouldn't mind her on the team. I think she works better as a "darker" character than she does as the constant-jokes in Birds of Prey

The latest issue of Outsiders made me think (and hope) they were going to change it to Batgirl & The Outsiders, but I'm sure that was its intention

I would love Tomasi on the book (really I'd love him on any book), but I think he's said he's focusing on Nightwing and GLC (although who knows what's up with Nightwing post-RIP)

It COULD be Owlman. Or a New Earth version of the man behind the mask at any rate. There is precedent for Batman having an brother.
