I went to two dances, one of them senior ball

I went in a white tux with a red vest

I did not pull it off.

    Unfortunate.

I can't actually see that working for anyone without a red bowtie and some kind of red in your shoes to match.

And then you would probably have to be some kind of ridiculous person for it to really work.

Yes, and film has not been used in 300 years, since the advent of digital cameras.

So I assume it must be that old

we did not have school "dance"

    we had a school rave

the DJ showed bits of cinematics from FF7 while he mixed the songs

    it was pretty neat

Good sir, to rent and purchase proper attire and other paraphernalia, dinner, as well as everything else needed to keep your date happy can run up to $200+

I've done math. That is terribly expensive for an unemployed 17 year old (me.)

dinner for my prom date and I was about 45 dollars, tux was 100 or so, and I think they even charged us just to go to the dance

I wasn't even planning on going, my friend got ditched and asked me

    she wasn't even pretty D:

I never went to any school dances when I was a kid because I was fat, ugly and chances are, no girl I liked would have gone to prom with me.

But now I regret never going. If I could, I'd go back in time and tell my past self to get in shape, man the fuck up and go.

    Did I miss much, FPSB?

Maybe I'm just bitter that i'm completely incapable of recognizing female interest in me.

And when I do she's either annoying or I dont know how to go about the rest of this prospective courtship deal.

I wore one of my dad's suits one year and bought a jacket from a goodwill store for like $20 bucks another time.

Can run $200, but doesn't have to.

Now, for senior homecoming and senior prom, I threw down some cash to rent something nice.
