Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

I have my linear algebra midterm tomorrow and I totally haven't studied at all

    8-)

No worries, linear algebra you can teach yourself the shit during the test. Beyond that though it get exponentially harder.

yeah, that's what it seems like to me

the only new stuff we've learned at all so far is whether a transformation maps onto or one-to-one or both or neither; whether a set of vectors is linearly independent or dependent; and whether a matrix is invertible.

basically I'm happy because this means that this year (11th grade) is so much easier than last year beause there's so little work to do

I have no idea what a transformation map is but the last two things are pretty easy.

Shortly before midnight, he stepped on the plane at the Dallas airport, a tall, thin, balding man of thirty-five, dressed entirely in black: black shirt, black trousers, black socks, black sneakers.
"Ah Dr. Malcolm," Hammond said, smiling with forced graciousness.

Malcolm grinned. "Hello, John. Yes, I am afraid your old nemesis is here."
Malcolm shook hands with everyone, saying quickly, "Ian Malcolm, how do you do? I do maths." He struck Grant as being more amused by the outing than anything else.

Hey can you find that quote where Malcolm says black is the best color for heat because of black body radiation?

I tried real hard a while ago with google and failed

I probably would have more success if I knew the exact words to the quote, but if I did then I wouldn't need to find it

    Catch 22

    Catch 22
"You're extremely pretty, Dr. Sattler," he said. "I could look at your legs all day. But no, as a matter of fact, black is an excellent color for heat. If you remember your black-body radiation, black is actually best in heat. Efficient radiation. In any case, I wear only two colors, black and gray."
