Get the G37 Sport, and make sure it's manual. I test drove one earlier this year, the dealer almost had me buy it because of how wet the seat was.

My first and current vehicle is a 1990 Renault 5. The car stereo cost more than the car itself. The car being bought for a tonne. (£100).

I would say mine is the turbo model but in actual fact, I just nicked a turbo badge from another Renault 5 in a scrap yard and stuck it on mine.

If yours was a Turbo it would be worth a hell of a lot more than 100 pounds. A hell of a lot more.

I didn't intenionally go to a scrap yard to find one but rather found it while we were scrapping another car. Oh the gems you'll find at your local scrap yard.

I guess if you admit that it's not turboed when people ask if it is, that's fine. If you don't, I'd see it the same as people who slap skyline badges on g35s and rebadge 325is as M3's.

Saw some beat up old 95 325is with an M3 badge. Unfortunately, he didn't have M3 mirrors and his badge was way off. When it should have been more like '///M 3' his was like '///M__3'.

I hate to think of people like him bragging about their "sweet M3's"

I still don't like the back end, but that is definitely a sweet car. If they'd improve the leg and head room, I'd consider buying one.

    And the back end.

I know nothing of renaults, I just assumed it was like other cars where people could mod them to look like the better version.

If it's an ironic thing, then I completely support it. I just thought it was lame if he was trying to make his car look like a better version.

First car was a 1986 635 CSI BMW. Problem with it was that the odometer was broken at 386,000 miles (says a bit about how the car's reliability was). It once broke down on the way to take care of someone's cats, luckily that was in residential area and I was able to park it. Second time it died, after it was supposedly fixed, was in an intersection right by my college. I caused a nice backup and got calls from people asking if it was me.

Current car is a 1988 Mercedes 190e 2.3l. I like it for the German emblem my dad put on the grill long ago and the euro headlights he bought for it.

As for your decision can you give some details on budget? Or are you pretty set on choosing one of those 3?

    Niiice. Got any photos?

I would loooove to own one of these if I could find one in good condition, that's been in a showroom, with low mileage or something like that. Highly unlikely though.

I meet two kinds of people.

The first go "That's not a turbo. Is it?

The second go "Oh, cool, at least you got the turbo."

The first person, I'll just say naw, just stuck that on there. The second group I'll just go sure and continue on my merry way. I can't be arsed to explain the differences they are too dumb to notice, like the complete difference in the rear end!

Man fuck this country and our ridiculous "luxury" car import tax.

What is considered a standard BMW sedan in US or Europe here is considered to be "ZOMG LUXURY" and therefore the price is jacked up siginificantly.

Pisses me the fuck off, because I would really love to pick up some sort of used e46 coupe, but can't without spending like $20k for something decent.

Yes, the cheapest prices around these parts for an e36 M3 are $20k AUD. I'd imagine it would be something ridiculously low in US.

Oh shit son! You want an e92/93 2008 M3? Minimum $170k (more like $190k usually) for a used one.

something like 14 grand for a clean car, probably more for a sedan these days because those are getting rarer.

They're fat, ugly, loud, and pure middle-aged rice.

Maybe the 370Z will look better in person, but in the photos, it looks link a guppy that's bent in the middle.

Man, fat? Seriously? 300 horsepower for 3,200 pounds is fat?

And the new one will have 330 horsepower for about 3,000 pounds.

It is many things but it is not a fat car.
