Nintendo DS error

Hey,

My friend's DS has started saying something like "cannot read ds card. remove it and restart" when he tries to load or save. It does this most (but not all) of the time. Any ideas what's wrong with it? Thanks guys.

Uh... pardon? Do you mean "blow in it to clean the contacts"? Or do you mean "the unit is trashed"?

He means clean the contacts off. If that fails wedge another cart above it and tap the top of the DS.

This happened with my DS as well, but it just stopped reading GBA games altogether.

I sent it in to Nintendo and they replaced it.
