Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

Yet another ultimately futile attempt at a Boston gathering.

So our resident irishman, thatdavefella will be in town the week of the 17th. It also happens to be around the birthday of a certain other awesome forumer who I will not mention but rest assured, he is most awesome.

Us Bostonians are usually too busy being billionaire playboys to ever get together, but this is a time for exception.

What say ye?

    nah, about 40 minutes north

it seems like to get to boston I might have to take a train to NYC from rhinebeck, then take another from NYC to Boston

what I am saying here is that this is only worth it if there is some serious headcount

    Who lives in Boston?

    Mark Wahlberg?

    Naw, Pip lives in Florida.

However, this is a Boston thread.

I live in Boston and I know of Javen and thatdavefella

I am interested in this thread and its contents

So I am totally down for whatever shenanigans we can find before the city closes at 11pm.

Your fuckin' family's dug into the Southie projects like ticks. You, however, grew up on the North Shore, huh? Well, la-di-fuckin'-da. You were kind of a double kid, I bet, right? Huh? One kid with your old man, one kid with your mother. You're upper-middle class during the weeks, then you're droppin' your "R"s and you're hangin' in the big, bad Southie projects with your daddy on the weekends. I got that right?

Upon meeting him you must ask if he is or has even been butters whilst profering your fists. It is a customary greeting and the Irish are very insulted if you fail to make the attempt.

Unless such things have become passe as the old ways are often forgotten.

ohhhhh Boston. My sous-chef is from Boston, and I had a friend from high school go to BU and hate it so much that she dropped out and came home. All I know is that it's really really cold, and everybody acts like a character from an Adam Sandler skit. The kind of place where people go out of their way to flip you off.

You guys should give up your old-world ways and come out here to Seattle. We can smoke lots of really good west coast weed... and say things like "hella."

    It'll be wicked good times.

    Let's hope not.

Let it also be known that none of those things are representative of my coast or my wonderful city, either.
