I'm still a bit on the fence because I never became totally comfortable with the odd first person controls.
I got used to it eventually but I remember the first time I ran through the tutorial I recalled thinking that the controls were really floaty.

It took a little time for me to acclimate to the controls.
After some practice it becomes fairly smooth.
Especially when you pull of combo moves such as a jump off a wall to a slide kick.
