My dog eats potatoes

He has always had a fondness for carrots and often helps himself to ones from the vegetable basket when no one is looking.
But, sometimes, carrots are either not available or they are too securely bagged.
So lately he's taken to fishing out raw potatoes instead and then furtively chewing on and eating those.
My dad said that from a veterinary perspective he's surprised that they haven't made him ill.
But although chocolate is poisonous to dogs this dog once ate two whole chocolate cakes and didn't even throw up.
ITT we love our pets

My girlfriend's dog used to eat carrots when she was alive. By the time I met her, she was blind, so she never saw me. She would just smell me and be like "here comes Carrot Man! Oh boy!"
It's been nearly a month since then and Mr. Bungle still hasn't returned home.

You never know with pets. We kept our first dog and cat on a pretty strict diet and the dog died of a burst tumour and the cat died of kidney failure both before they were all that old.

Found in someone's garden
Poor darling, he's not quite all there. He didn't seem at all traumatized; he just rather seemed as if he were rather bemused. We think he was frightened and then just kept wandering.
My mother has been slowly reintroducing him to the outside world.
He sleeps in between the dogs and it's so cute!
He eats so much food and he never gets any bigger.
Mother in front, two of her adorably irritating sons behind her. She fetches the stick and does most of the legwork and then closer to the bank they snatch it from her.
Of interest is the fact that in recent times, the female is becoming whiter and the male is becoming a bit yellower. The joke theory is that whenever they do it, her colouring rubs off on him.
