Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Debate and Discourse: AWESOME POST in "Have you forgotten the face of your [chat]?", by Co
i did searches to see if the pictures were real... im not sure if they are still but i think it doesn't take too much from the awesomeness if it wasn't original.
What happens when your coworker has a giant lego star destroyer on top of their cube?
You of course build 42 oragami x-wings and stage an attack on it. (We would have used lego xwings but they were too expensive)

45 minutes and two attempts later, I have produced an origami x-wing of passable quality, perhaps slightly smaller than these.
After that experience, I can say with more accuracy that this qualifies for two MacArthur grants. This is the most finicky, irritating design I've ever attempted. The idea of building 42 of them appalls me on a core level.
You know what this means don't you? Tie fighters and bomber wings are on their way. An X-wing just can't breach their shields, can they?
If the x-wings get their shit together and launch their torpedoes at once they could probably over load the shields.
Otherwise, they just have to take out the fighter screen and wait for the heavy bombers to show up.

Seriously though, I want to work in a place where I could trust my co-workers not to jack up my 300 dollar lego model. Where I am now I don't even leave my pens out when I leave.
What the hell, are those Z-95 Headhunters next to those X-Wings? Ew, 1 star.
Eww, they ARE Z-95's. That's like trying to kill an elephant with a horde of mosquitoes. I feel both sad and proud that I even know what they are, Z-95 Headhunters that is. Why are there no Y-Wing squadrons... or maybe a killer B-Wing squad.
