Back in those days, there wasn't a universe as you know it, this was before the formation of Earth when the galaxy was new.
You couldn't just walk up to them and fuck them casually on a street like you can these days - there would be no street, no gravity with which to hold you down if there even was one, and well, with all that empty lightless space nobody was gonna see you so there really wasn't a need to act casual about it.
There were only gravity fields, so in order to get close enough to fuck someone, you had to orbit them, descending of course, until you could get close enough to bump uglies.
