The clone wars rage at their peak, most of the Jedi Order is scattered along the outer rim battling the remnants of the Separatist Systems. Unbeknownst to both sides, the entire war has been orchestrated by Darth Sidious as part of his ultimate goal of destroying the Jedi. Ruling the galaxy with an iron fist is only a beneficial side effect.
Order 66 is the culmination of Sidious’s dark plan. The order results in the near annihilation of the Jedi Order and the Great Jedi Purge after almost finishes what the order started. The act marks the beginning of the Galactic Empire and twenty years of tyranny and oppression. But that lies in the future, our story begins on Kashyyyk as fate conspires to unite four individuals in common purpose. They have the potential to accomplish great things.
But first… they must survive.
Kashyyyk, home world of the Wookiee race. Also, for the moment at least, home to a Separatist invasion force and a contingent of the Grand Army of the Republic committed to defending the planet. Kieran Sarkin looks out over the giant foliage and can hear the battle even though the tree house in is well away from the front line. Bringing his mind to the present he turns away from the window.
His master, Rorrowaroo, stands by the door with his usual stoic patience. The Wookiee is not the only person in the room, two clone troopers stand flanking five humanoids. Sarkin walks across the room and stands in front of the group. “One of you is a Separatist spy. My master and I are here to discover which. Unless the spy would like to confess?” He lets his gaze drift along the line of suspects.
The Duros, Galo Pagos, looks slightly nervous but returns Kieran’s gaze. Galo has nothing to hide, except for the incident, he’d never done anything wrong, or at least he‘d never been caught. The next suspect was a Rodian named Obh’ama and although he routinely fought for the Separatist cause. He was not a spy he was a mercenary. He managed to look bored and Kieran wondered if he had fallen asleep behind his goggles. Next in line, the human Jaime Zel was no spy, as she had proclaimed to the troopers who brought her in and continued to inform anyone else who would listen. The last two were a pair of humans, brothers known as Hadron Grashen and Teleur Grashen. They looked as bored as Ohb’ama but Teleur’s eyes kept wandering to the blaster of the trooper beside him.

This questioning was, he knew, pointless. The Force was guiding his perception, attuning him to their feelings. He felt the confidence bordering complacency from the Rodian, the displeasure from the woman, the anxiousness from the Duros... and he felt the tension from Teleur. He knew the man would make a desperate move towards one of the troopers' blasters - knew that, by extension, he was the spy.
The question was, how would he get the man to admit it? If Kieran waited until the man lunged for the blaster, someone would end up hurt, probably Teleur. And Kieran knew his own limitations - if Teleur Grashen didn't want to admit his guilt (and who would, when the crime was High Treason?), then Kieran's lacking persuasive ability would not work.
"What are your names?" the young padawan finally said. No need to start off confrontational...
"We are holding you here," he said carefully, "because like these others, you're under suspicion of seditious acts in the name of the CIS. It's treason, you know."
He felt Teleur tense up again.
"This some cac. Whoodat say I'm spyin', hairball? Peep ay'all damn lookalikes... some Rodie here-ins skrate'a deep fringe. Best think on that. Alla been spied lately's blastail, waya rifle sight. Only guilty f'had been green. 'Kin wadh'ata."
"I am Jaime Zel. I am a diplomat, not a spy."
"Perhaps you were all in the wrong place at the wrong time, then," he says helpfully. And it was both unlucky and unfortunate that all of these others would be picked up during the sweep... very unfortunate. He was learning by the day that innocent people got swept up in this war all the time, and that was the only word that could really sum it up: unfortunate.
"I really do apologize for these delays. We are gathering evidence at the moment... and I am sure that this will be cleared up soon, and you all will be exonerated," he said quietly. He gave them all a small smile.
"Whahappen justice? Green boy ain't get no rights? No lawyer?"
He tried to be as reassuring as possible.
The Rodian pulled the brim of his hat over his goggles, and positioned himself like he was about to take a nap.
"Ain't tellin' you cac."
He didn't say this. "Well, it's unfortunate, but it is protocol."
Kieran moved down to the two brothers, one of whom he knew at least was guilty. He wish this weren't so protracted - his abilities were definitely not tailored towards the finer points of interrogation. He wished he could be amongst the wroshyr trees, feeling the living Force around him. Instead all he felt was a feeling of imposing dread. He pushed it aside and let himself flow into the current of the Force, feeling amongst the threads of the future...
Searching my feelings to see if calling Teleur out on his crime will be favorable or unfavorable.
Hadron looks Kieran in the eye, "What my brother means is that he is most upset over the loss of his effects. However I am sure justice will prevail and they will be returned to him without incident. As we are most certainly Not spies, Master Jedi." His smile is meant to be reassuring and friendly, but the effect is lessened when his brother mutters under his breath, "karking green sucker's prolly da spy anyhow."
"Chu'taka me, boy? You did, gone be some rude brukk'p."
The trooper standing near Teleur looks at Kieran, "Do you want me to shut him up, Commander?"
Hadron's face had become paler and paler during Teleur's outburst. At the troopers remark, he quickly stammers, "p. P..Please, that won't be necessary. My dear brother has a condition. He has issues with his temper. Normally his switchblade calms him down. But now, I do not think it would help. We have professed our innocence in this matter. Can you please release us, I have some medicine in our ship that can calm him."
Rorrowaroo, silent until now, lets out a quiet snort of derision but makes no move away from the doorway. The commander beside him however reaches up to his helmet. He waits only a moment before giving a quick nod to Rorrowaroo and stepping outside without a word. Rorrowaroo returns the gesture before returning his attention to the specticle inside the room. Kieran can sense his master's slight irritation but he knows Rorrowaroo will never act on emotion alone.
"Please escort Teleur and his brother to the holding cells," he said finally. "They are the spies."
"Can a Rodian get his gun back now? Got to get back on a hunt, a'eady late."
“Brother!†Hadron cries, jumping to his feet and pulling a tiny dagger from his clothes. He waves it about, “Alright, nobody move and we‘ll be leaving… uh†He stops and pales as the clone troopers point their blasters at him. Teleur coughs from his position on the floor, “… Give it up brother, we‘ve lost.â€
The dagger drops to the floor with a clatter, “Uhmm… Yes. We surrender.â€
Trooper gets free shot. 1d20+5=17 Hit
