This thread is for me. I have to write a paper about the friendships depicted in The Picture of Dorian Gray and An Ideal Husband. This is only a sophomore lit class but the paper is overdue by almost 2 weeks and if I don't pass this class, I can't take any of my English classes I am scheduled for next semester.
I ended up spending most my time on the boards or out partying instead of writing this stupid paper.

It's much harder to write a paper with a maximum amount of words than one with a minimum amount of words.
I hardly ever meet the minimum word or page count.
I tend to write very densely. A couple of times I've completely exhausted the scope of the assignment at about three quarters of the minimum length, then I have to weigh whether it's better to leave it there, since it's already a little more complete than needed, or to break the minimum by enough to be a burden on whoever ends up grading it by going a full notch beyond. I usually do the former. I can't bring myself to do anything in between, because that makes an unbalanced an unaesthetic final product.
Most teachers and professors seem to appreciate concise, specific writing.
I think I'd do much better with an upper limit than a lower one.

stop slacking you pusbag
I am working on my paper right now while simultaneously posting.
I had two courses this term that required two 10-page lab reports each in the term. Both times, they both happened to be due within a day of each other.
I might be able to sweet-talk the professor into an extension on this one, but I'd actually really rather not, considering I want to get black-out drunk tomorrow in a celebratory manner.
Also F.Y.I. this paper is 30% of the final grade. Yeah.
Side note: one time I wrote four pages in 20 minutes and got an A. The class and paper were kind of bullshit, but I like to remind myself of this feat as motivation.
At the Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good And Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too, we teach you that there's more to life than just being really, really, really good looking.
the prompt last year was something like "how much do you love america"
this year it's "What The United States Flag Stands For"
hahahaha i had this same prompt a couple years ago. A teacher of mine assigned it for my junior year english class. I wrote the thing in about 45 minutes while sitting after the class where it was due, with the teacher who was cutting me some slack.
I came in 2nd for the whole state or some shit on a throw-away paper

I LIKE AMERICA ABOUT AS MUCH AS MY CAT
IF I HAD A CAT
I IMAGINE I'D LOVE AMERICA ABOUT AS MUCH AS MY CAT IF I HAPPENED TO HAVE A CAT
At the moment, I'm writing six two page journal entries about various artists impacts on their genre of music, and topping that off with a 1000 word essay in pretty much the same format (due tomorrow at 6:30pm). Then after that, I have to finish an assignment concerning the manipulation of trees and heap structures (includes whipping up a program) and write various documentation concerning a game I made for Wednesday, then write a test concerning networking structures that day after likely a sleepless night. And to top that all off, I then have to continue to write an interesting bit of classified code, then present for half an hour on it for Friday. All in all, a fun week ahead.
My next paper due is about the influential factors that contribute to the distribution of unsecured debt. Luckily it isn't due 'till late January so I can browse the internets for a good while yet.
I've got to write a 4 page book report (about 1k words) on Rising Sun by Michael Crichton by friday. Should be easy if i can just sit down and get on it.
Last week i had to do a 10 page paper on Israel impact on international relations when it was formed. That sucked and i finished it 20 minutes before it was due

Just have to start studying for finals now, ugh.
I do not intend to study for any of my finals.
I've done the majority, but I'm being so lazy on finishing it.
I ended up spending most my time on the boards or out partying instead of writing this stupid paper.

Now find me a song where Bowie sings about friendship. I will make it work.
