Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

I can really think of no area, from their melodies to their lyrics to their originality in composition (optimistic uses a god damn super-lydian progression!) to their god damn instrumentation and synth patching, in which I can find any way to really say that Radiohead is anything less than good. They are no longer my favorite band, but they are pretty god damn good.
That dude's interesting. I'm curious to find out exactly what the iron content of his fist is. Also I am curious as to how much of his public persona is sincere: traditionally, despots have made no efforts to censor their attitudes, however terrible they might be, but I imagine that for modern Russia's Prime Minister the situation has evolved somewhat, so I'm really curious as to how he really feels about such statements he has made as (to paraphrase) "Anyone who does not miss the Soviet Union has no heart. Anyone who wants it back has no brain."
But is the opportunity to be briefed by the CIA on the Russian power structure and being paid to construct psychological analyses on it worth actually learning the damn language? I don't know. I just don't know.
I fucking love it but the entire internet is like SUCK
You need more peanut butter.

Some of their best songs are on it. But I think that the album itself is not as good as OK Computer, Kid A, or In_Rainbows
Muse fans look down on Radiohead fans just as much.
Nocturne, you obviously aren't a real fan then.

what does this even mean
That, like, makes you lamer.
"Screw being technical and skilled, I want to hear T-Pain talkin' about boots with tha furrr!!"
Like I said, there are plenty of upbeat songs by Radiohead.
It might just be that you like music which dictates to you the feelings you wish you had (lol all music should be fast or fun), in which case your vapidity should be execrated, and not a musical presentation.
It was sort of a comment to Podly where he used a bunch of big words to describe why radiohead is good, and since they were big words I figured I'd say something like you see above and hope for the best.

Radiohead will put you into a diabetic coma because it's so sweet.
They might both be great bands though. Saying "I don't like x" and "x is horrible" are not the same thing for me.
You are actually starting to convince me to not like Radiohead anymore. Quit it.
Also what Gooey said.
Edit: Actually I really don't have a favorite
Any given day I can like Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, or In Rainbows more than the rest (OK Computer doesn't do quite as much for me)
But in the meantime one thing: Was just looking through the subset of mp3s I have at work and just have to ask all you youngin's on the board: what the fuck happened to music after circa 2000 or so? Did the shenanigans in Florida traumatize the fuck out of this country so bad that nearly everyone suddenly forgot how to rock?
Ok, so the Gorillaz kick ass and I'm sure there are a few other isolated points of light but it seems like a whole lotta crap from where I'm standin'. Where is the Filter, Toadies, Nirvana, Collective Soul, Porno For Pyros, STP, Pearl Jam, Dead Milkmen, Our Lady Peace, Bare Naked Ladies, Presidents of the United States of America, Primitive Radio Gods, Splashdown or motherfukin' Sound Garden for this decade?
Please recall that this happened in Belgium, during World War 2.
Oh wow I have the most posts in this [chat]. I don't think this has happened before.
<3
or both...
No, I'm just extremely happy all the time.
oh man, you have gotten OLD.
...seriously...our lady peace? ugh.
took out her barrettes and her hair spilled out like rootbeer
PUSA toured this year
Local H is still alive and putting out fantastic records and playing better live shows than any other band on the planet
Bare Naked Ladies in no way fits with the rest of that list
They didn't exactly have a wide body of work but Superman's Dead and Naveed were pretty damn good.
Really I was just listing off the stuff I saw in the mp3s I have here at work.
the jazz pianist?
oh man, i have to find that.
took out her barrettes and her hair spilled out like rootbeer
Did you know them or were you just in the same year as them?
