Occasionally I see something awesome but the last two woot off's were horrid. So far, its not been great. I don't have any extra cash anyhow at this point.

I actually picked up two things in the last woot-off. Mind you, it's because a) I had just gotten a new product which used microSD and was waiting for a decent deal on one of them and caught it at the right time, and b) because I was looking for a really inexpensive yet not pos mouse as a backup for work. So, worked for me.

And this one looks to be off to a decent start, at least as far as pricing is concerned - this handsfree set is actually useful, and close to 50% off of the best price on froogle, and completely unavailable via amazon. If I didn't have a headset already, I'd be all over this. And if I didn't already have gifts for my family, I'd probably be in for multiples because this is exactly the sort of thing they'd love.

I don't want to rain on everyone's parade (ok, I lied - I just did) but most of these Woot off threads seem to me like an extended marketing campaign brought to the PA G&T board. Hasn't the novelty factor worn of by now or what does this make so interesting? I am just curious.

Some people still try for the BOC, I for one, have given up all hope of ever scoring one.

1.) The descriptions are often hilarious
2.) The deals are occasionally good
3.) We need somewhere to talk up an item that is taking forever like the FABULOUS iRobot Roomba 418 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner Bundle! It cleans better than my regular vacuum and it does so automatically. I bought 3! They make great gifts.

Woot off on threads are great. Our conversation helps weather crappy items.

That being said, I don't need a roomba. We have a central vac - it cost an obscene amount of money, I can't take away from its workload, the central vac must earn its keep.

There's no such thing as a good deal on a non-Wacom graphics tablet. Any other brand you buy is pretty much just a waste of money.

I'm here to tell you about voting. Imagine you're locked in a huge underground nightclub filled with sinners, whores, freaks and unnameable things that rape pit bulls for fun. And you ain't allowed out until you all vote on what you're going to do tonight [. . .] So you vote for television, and everyone else, as far as your eye can see, votes to fuck you with switchblades. That's voting. You're welcome.
