Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

So he wrote it out?
also, achewood is probably the best webcomic out there.
I hear he was quite into the fanfiction scene.
2nd- XKCD
3rd- Sinfest
Honorable Mention- PBF (posthumous)
Ah okay, a friend of mine went to UND and they referred to their social building as "The Union." Figure I'd take a stab in the dim light.
Wow. I like all those comics but I'm not sure if they're really the BEST.
As someone who went to Mississippi State and grew up in Memphis let me assure you that I am laughing so hard.
Oxford really isn't anything like Memphis, though, not enough people being shot.
xkcd making it onto your list is a sad thing indeed.

Sinfest I'd agree with.
The rest... eh...
I know this is going to seem kissassy or whatever but I actually like PA best. Gabe's art has really improved by leaps and bounds and it makes up for the days when the gag isn't there.
Actual Play: Mage: the Awakening - At the Edge of All Things
haha yes
Would I get infracted if I responded to this with "I'd give them a gold star!"
xkcd is pretty awesome though
Next day, my alarm goes off and I
Yes, I think so.
Just start off with, "Hi, my name is Poldy." and go from there. Soon the words will start flowing.
If it makes you feel any worse, I completely lost the ability to write papers about halfway through college. Something just went sproinnng! in my head one day and never really went back into place.

I think that sometimes. I suppose it's because in my intro classes I could just crank out standard essays and get A's. Now that I know what I want to study, care more about it, and know how little I understand it, it's much more terrifying. Like, I've talked to my prof a couple of times about the paper and he's like "no everything you're saying is very interesting" so I know if I just write it then it will be fine, but urghhhh.
"Those people who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do."
Jerbs is jerbs. Of course, knowing I'll only be here for another 6 months makes it a little easier.
Also, while you accurately describe a highly visible minority of our student body, it is a minority. I find myself liking most of my students, and I teach Intro to Stats. You know, a class that all the business school kids have to take?
Yes. Also, the 2004 US election.
now I can blithely continue posting without that eyesore
I fell into a 40000/50000 level philosophy class this semester. Those papers. Wow. I would never want to be a philosophy grad student.

I dunno. I honestly don't understand how anybody could make the argument that Kerry would have been just as bad as Bush.
I mean, really? Really?
Somehow I seriously doubt Kerry's administration would have brought the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that Bush's administration had.
"Those people who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do."
Dynagrip haz a flavor?
Dude, it was a funny joke. It could be applied to any election anytime as a cynical commentary on politics.
"Those people who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do."
Yeah, I'm not targeting you, specifically, I figured you were probably kidding. But I know some people who argue that seriously, and it's annoying.
"Those people who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do."
What the hell is a 40000 level class? What are the 2 extra zeros for?
I think the current state of Canadian politics is well represented by that tagline.
