So I found my copy of Hard Boiled and watched it again, and it's still completely fuckawesome; along with The Killer, it's one of the defining examples of the "heroic bloodshed" genre of Hong Kong action cinema

Everyone does the sideways-jump-with-two-guns nowadays, but there was a time when that was a new and surprising thing

also, the older Hong Kong martial arts flicks were radtastic as well, with defining titles like
