It's called the bloodstone sword due to the fact that it has been embedded in the Bleeding Monolith of Darkengraad Pass for over a century now. Legend has it the last man to threaten Orik's reign planted it there as he died at Orik's hands.
Many men before have tried to pull the sword from that bleeding stone, but none have been able to. None, that is, save for Campion the Champion.
