Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

Created by mad gaming genius TIM SHAFER of Monkey Island, Full Throttle and Grim Fandango fame, Psychonauts is a weird little action-adventure platformer that largely takes place not in the physical realm but in the human mind!
You play as Raz:
A ten-year-old, psychically-gifted acrobat who runs away from the circus to join Whispering Rock Psychic Summercamp in his quest to become a full-fledged psychic secret agent: A Psychonaut!
Psychonauts features some of the best art direction and writing of any game ever and it is a genuinely fun, funny and original experience that everybody should try at least once.
Talk about it in this thread. It's what the thread is for.
EDIT:By the way, Double Fine recently unveiled their brand-new PSYCHO-PEDIA containing muchos infos on the game and some of the people involved with it. BE CAREFUL, though, as the PSYCHO-PEDIA also contains muchos spoileros, which you should be wary of if you haven't already played the game.
Listen, you and I know the score but not everybody is as smart as we are so I've had to dumb things down a little in order to allow the plebs to keep up.

It is free on the PC using Gametap. No registration or anything needed.
hot diggity dog!
so is Dues Ex and Thief: DS and Tomb Raider: Legend and the first two Hitman games but really Psychonauts is there and free and anyone who hasn't played it has no excuse
One time, I had a friend over to play a bit of Red Alert on my LAN. During the game he said he needed to go to the bathroom, so we paused it. After about 10 minutes of wondering where the hell he went, I get up and go to check on him.
Once I was taking a poop at a restaurant and a kid crept underneath the door into my stall. I let out a big fart and then he threw up all over the floor in front of me and I just stared at him.
It's your duty as a human being to finish the game.
Do it.
Do it for humanity
the meat circus is terrible
it does not do the rest of the game justice
The Meat Circus is a horrible punisher, but there's tricks to everything. Except for the grating. The climb up those grates is terrible. But still!
You can check out the Double Fine website for tips on how to make the Meat Circus much less awful for yourself.
Or just read this spoiler!
Spoiler:
Shield will bounce the knife-throwers' knives right into the wheels.
Confusion will allow you to pick up the rabbit and just give it to Little Morry.
Also, Invisibility on the tightrope will prevent you from being hit by spiky, exploding fiery juggling pins.

The stupid GameTap player isn't working.
It isn't loading the "Download" image for Psychonauts, or the little bar that is supposed to be at the bottom of the screen.

Sort of the "Hegelian dialectic" of PA posters, you and I.
I can never decide which is my favorite though.

They should totally run using SCUMM. I've seen DOTT, S&M, MM, and the Monkey Islands working on both XP and Vista.
