i normally wouldn't have even gone through her stuff, but she had been acting really, really strange lately
My ex swore she was depressed and that she needed to move back home to be closer to her family *cough* ex-boyfriend *cough*. To get the money needed to move back home, her parents lent us some dough on condition that SHE go to school. I dropped out of college and put her through school. A month before graduation, she told me she never loved me and then called her parents and moved out. Then proceeded to cut out all contact with me for over a year. Through internetz I found out she was re-hooked up with her ex from high school and I heard later that people had seen them together as nearly a year before she moved out.
I recently got re-married to a nearly perfect woman (don't know how I got so lucky) and am back in school. 28yrs old and a Junior, yay... The ex contacted me recently and apologized for everything and wanted to get back together. I told her to move on, but it was nice to have closure.
Long story short: At least the truth is out there. Its better than her lying to you forever.
