It's just your timing. Blanka has a huuuugggeee bite range. You can try biting a little farther away outside of cammy's throw range.

My fight stick came in the mail yesterday and I could use some tips for a new stick user. While I've never really played seriously, I've been using gamepads since SFII on the SNES. I've been losing all day, which is making me question this purchase.

Maybe I just have small hands, but it seems like it's harder to quickly have access to all six buttons.

dont go back to a pad... stick with it, it will soon feel like an extension of yourself! just get used to it first. and really thats about all you can do... also find a good grip for the joystick... a side-ways or underhanded kind of grip might be better, as it will allow you to use more of your wrist and fingers and not your entire arm.

But I hate Ken, what do you guys do against a whiffed super? If I waited patiently on the ground while he's still airborne he would still somehow be able to land and grab me repeatedly (by different Kens too...) What should I have been doing (as Ryu or Sagat?)

Depending on positioning and life left, could you go tiger knee -> juggle tiger knee -> super (the uppercut connects). but you need room for that to work.

I finally hit a grove and won some ranked matches myself (sagat also). I broke down and bought a fight pad. Im tired of inputting moves and missing.

Getting the tiger knee to connect with its garbage priority is half the battle.

I guess the biggest problem is when I'm in a corner and they just throw the super. Of course it whiffs, but it also crosses me up and they consistently can get a move off before I can punish it. I try for the Uppercut but the cross-up screws me up I guess...

You mentioned you use Ryu. With him you could do a regular uppercut (crouching fierce) instead of a dragon punch, that way you still get a good anti air attack out no matter what side he lands.
