Gee. That's such a tough choice.

    A) Don't lose the game.

    or

    B) Lose the game.

    Hmm....

You know, Mr. Zarek, you never actually made your decision. Would you like to end this now, or shall we continue the slow steps to your doom?

Actually, it was Admiral Adama's choice, but he has been largely MIA for the past day it seems.

Rioting has severely damaged storage facilities and supplies - the President continues to try to hold things together and stem the unneccessary loss of resources.

After Crisis: Activate Basestars, Advance Jump Preparation
    The Basestars continue their assault!

    Attack 1: 7 > 4, Galactica Hit, Command damaged.
    Attack 2: 3 < 4, Galactica undamaged.

Jump Preparation advances to Level 5 - Jump Available at lower (though still critical) risk.

Turn 35: President Tom Zarek (DevoutlyApathetic)

Receive Skills Step: DevoutlyApathetic draws 1 Leadership card.
    Movement Step: Move to Armory.
Action Step: Activate Armory to attack Centurions on Boarding Track.

Rend plays Tactics 3 to aid the attack with Strategic Planning.

    Attack: 4 + 2 = 6 < 7, Miss.

Even with the support of the Admiral, President Zarek is unable to muster the might to stop the Centurions from making their way through Galactica.

    Crisis Step: Tactical Strike

    1) Activate Raiders
The six Raiders in port-quarter (5 o'clock) attack.

    Attack 1: 4 < 5, Starbuck missed.
Attack 2: 7 > 5, abotkin plays Piloting 1 to engage Evasive Maneuvers.
    Re-Roll: 2 - 2 = 0 < 5, Starbuck missed.
Attack 3: 6 > 5, abotkin plays Piloting 1 to engage Evasive Maneuvers.
    Re-Roll: 1 - 2 = -1 < 5, Starbuck missed.
    Attack 4: 4 < 5, Starbuck missed.
Attack 5: 7 > 5, Starbuck hit, Viper damaged, Starbuck sent to Sickbay.
    Attack 6: 8 > 5, Unmanned Viper destroyed.

    2) Combat Setup
    Fore (9 o'clock): 1 Heavy Raider

    Aft (3 o'clock): 1 Civilian Ship
    Port-Quarter (5 o'clock): 2 Vipers, 1 Civilian Ship
    Port-Bow (7 o'clock): 1 Basestar, 5 Raiders

Only one Civilian Ship left to place. Which one, DevoutlyApathetic?
    No Vipers available to place.
    No Basestars available to place.

    3) Special Rule – Hangar Assault
Damage 2 Vipers in the Reserves.

No Vipers in Reserves to damage.

Turn 36: Admiral William Adama (Rend)

Rend places the crisis card on the top of the deck.

    Crisis Step:Rescue Mission

Admiral William Adama (Rend) must choose:
    A) -1 Morale, and the current player is sent to “Sickbay.”
    OR
    B) -1 Fuel and destroy 1 Raptor.

Adama gets a bit too close to the Centurion boarding parties but gets injured in the process and is forced to retreat.

After Crisis: Activate Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation
    Raiders in Port-Bow (7 o'clock) move to Port-Quarter (5 o'clock)
    Raiders in Port-Quarter (5 o'clock) move to Aft (3 o'clock)

Jump Preparation reaches maximum; The fleet finally jumps away from its Cylon pursuers for the time being.

Destination Choice: Icy Moon – Distance +1 (Total: 8 Distance)
Lose 1 Fuel. The Admiral may risk 1 Raptor to roll a die. If 3 or higher, gain 1 Food. Otherwise, destroy 1 Raptor.

The Admiral decides to make the risk to resupply.
    Raptor Risk: 1 < 3, Raptor Destroyed.

... but the scouting ends in failure.

The fleet has reached 8 distance. If they can make a final jump without bringing any resources to 0, they will reach Kobol and earn victory.

Rend discards a Leadership 1 to bring his hand size to 10.

Through the efforts of all the remaining crew, the bomb is isolated and disposed off before it can go off, saving Galactica from further damage and keeping humanity's hopes alive.

[strike]Point of order: Character special abilities cannot be used on Super Crisis cards. Is Adama actually able to activate his ability after that check? I certainly wouldn't allow Chief or Boomer to use their ability following a Super Crisis, so it stands to reason Adama cannot either.[/strike]

Never mind; the rules specify that only abilities that specifically target the card are prohibited (so Boomer, Starbuck, Helo). Bill and Galen can use theirs, since they trigger off the skill check rather than the Crisis itself. You win this round, Admiral Adama. Well done.

It says on pages 19 and 30 of the rulebook (with slightly different wording) that "Super Crisis Cards are immune to character abilities that specifically affect Crisis Cards." (p. 30)

For Boomer, she could not use her one-time ability on a Super Crisis, since it operates on Crisis Cards. For Chief and William Adama, their abilities work on Skill Checks, which can come from board locations, Crisis Cards, or Super Crisis Cards. I was on the fence about it, really, but I decided on the liberal interpretation. I couldn't really find any evidence against my interpretation, though you do make a good point about the intent of the rule.

    EDIT: Well, problem solved! (?)

I'd argue that he can, because his ability says "skill check" instead of crises draw, whereas Boomer's says "Skill check on a crises card" Chief should be allowed to use his ability as well.

My goal was to hopefully empty out their hands (with the possibility of you being able to sabotage it enough, since your entire hand was negative). Unfortunately, I missed the fact that Adama could just refill his hand with his pick of those. Sorry about that, you lovely skinjob you.
