Dublo, the art style and pokemon designs in Diamond/Pearl manage to harken-back to the original games extremely-well. Far better, I think, than the gold/silver or ruby/sapphire generation in my opinion.

It's also noticeably more-difficult than previous incarnations, largely because a lot of gym leaders diversify their lineup so that it's still theme-appropriate, yet spamming a single move won't work.

The only non-console poke'mon I haven't played/don't own is Crystal. Because it came out around when my Gold got erased, so I was so mad at poke'mon that I didn't even get it.

I probably didn't miss much.

I liked Ruby quite a bit. More then Pearl, in fact. However I suspect that Platinum will knock Ruby off.

I like that the ability to go back and re-challenge gym-leaders is a part of Platinum. That's something that's been long-overdue. Pokemon gyms should be someplace you can go to to train, it's only rational that you should be able to fight the guys in there more than once. It'd be sweet if the gym trainers leveled up each time you fought them like the folks you fight using the VS SEEKER do.

Apparently, In Platinum, you'll be able to move tutor Thunderpunch onto Infernape (Or, like, Monferno or Chimchar or something).

Don't ask me how to move tutor shit, because I don't even know. But man, that makes him so useful.

You can breed ThunderPunch onto a Chimchar right now.

But the move tutors can give Infernape Vacuum Wave. Which I think is awesome.
You can also turn him into a classic Poo flinging ape by teaching it Gunk Shot.
