Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

I was thinking of something more demeaning. Possibly a paid, non-forumer, chaperone present at all times too.

Gah, I need a bigger desk. It gets crowded with 22" monitor, 360, keyboard, mousepad, laptop and cat.

I tend to assume people look like their avatars. This is rarely accurate.

    edit: especially for you.

Do you still play a dwarf in WoW? :P

Haven't logged in about a month, but yeah.

I picked dwarf priest because I wanted to try healing and in vanilla dwarf free = almost guaranteed entry into raiding.

It worked, I was in BWL with the server #2 guild 3 weeks after hitting 60. Even in TBC Fear Ward was still quite powerful.

Wrath just can't get my attention, I levelled up fairly fast and did Naxx and Malygos and all that, farm status in 3 weeks, I went skiing and never felt the urge to return. From reading I hear mostly about lag, bugs, and delayed patches, dont think i'm missing much, working on that 3 drake egostrokin' that's left after 1 day of farming of my guild.

Kitten drowning story in Awfl Stuff thread makes me sad.

BTW laying carpet isn't that difficult, and considering boards are cracked, would probably be your cheapest option.

That's....kinda an odd reply to my post. You could have just replied that to the thread.

    I don't post in H/A.

That's uh...okay? Even on a totally innocent thread like that? Like I understand staying out of the relationship shit, I don't go near that either.

If I start posting in H/A I'll continue posting in H/A. Then I'll begin arguing in H/A, then I'll end up jailed/banned over something stupid in H/A. Also my default position/posting style tends to become sarcastic which is frowned upon.

Alright, that last one won't keep the rotation for some reason. Anyway, the first spoiler contains Alecthar pointing at MrPink grabbing at Eddy's ass singing with Elki while Tarranon dicks around in my kitchen. The second one is Jokerman laughing at Mike swooning Inky. The third one is, from left-to-right, Inky, DSC, Elki (wearing one of my shirts) and JK's girl playing the BSG game along with JK, Tarranon and I not pictured.

The last one is sensitive pillow talk.

I've met forumers, it went well. There was much rejoicing, and booze and DVDs and videogames.

I think I'd be fine with it as long as there was some distance involved, weirdly enough.

Like, if I went to Wales I might try to meet up with Joh, or Haps if I went to Germany, but it would feel odd if it was someone who lived in the next street over, or something.

Dude, those things are scams. They invite you to London, promising you money, and then they take you in the back of one of their cramped Cooper Minis and next thing you know you're in a warehouse getting talked to by a guy with a cockney accent and one of your fingers is smashed.

I think it comes down to really not being certain if I'd get along with people in real life. If there's sufficient distance that it takes effort to organise meeting up then it's easy to justify meeting up as a one off. It means you can't find yourself in that awkward situation where you have to make excuses for not going to the pub with someone whose company you really don't enjoy.

I find its easier to get along better with someone in real life than it is on the internet. Suddenly those opinions you disagree with are coming from a real flesh and blood person who isn't at all some horrible faceless enemy. Common ground is much easier to find.
