Black and green wolf spiders

I had two as a pet, they tend to make a tunnel, and grow to be about as big as a quarter, but I haven't been able to find any info on them at all. What is their genus? It's driving me crazy.

I say had because fireants ate both.D:

    All I remember is they were black, and had 2 red dots on their back and a very solid green set of fangs.

    Oh I live in souther Georgia, US if that helps any.

    Wikipedia'ing Zebra Spiders was intriguing, and for an arachnid, they are quite adorable.

    Though it helps knowing that they're less than 1 centimeter in size. Rare tiny poisonous/venomous animals aside, it's harder to be freaked out by something so small.

    Years ago my then guild's MT hated spiders...I did my best to torture her by always running around in raids with my pet spider out. Heh.

    I will add that I, too, hate spiders, but spiders in a GAME don't bother me...and I don't really mind real-life spiders if there's no chance they can touch me. Like behind glass or something. One of my favorite memories is of tossing crickets to one of those little spiders that builds a funnel-like web (not a funnel-web spider) that lived in a crack on the outside of our house. Also, garden spiders.

    We call wolf spiders Cane spiders in hawaii, and for a while I didn't realize they were common on the mainland. Also, apparantly in some places people like them and keep them around because they eat cockroaches and stuff, but screw that shit.

    My dad used to smash them with his bare hand, and then they'd jump up and keep going.

    Yeah, I grew up in the land of Cane spiders (former sugar cane field area in Kapolei), so seeing pictures of big spiders isn't all that bad for me.
