Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Tonight I was on my Macbook Pro and suddenly my house's wifi went out and wouldn't come back on. All 3 computers that connect to the router wirelessly (a Linksys WRT54G2 V1) couldn't couldn't find the routers signal, like it wasn't broadcasting, and the one wired connection couldn't connect.I took my macbook pro to the router and unplugged the internet cable (that comes from the DSL modem) and plugged it into my Macbook pro, but it still wouldn't connect. For some reason whenever I made 1 ethernet connection on my mac 3 would come up, and I still couldn't connect to the internet. However whenever I went into boot camp (windows 7) I just created a new pppoe connection and it connected right away.
Is my router broke? I unplugged it, reconnected it, everything I could think of and it wouldnt start working again.
Any idea what is up with my macbook pro with OS X not wanting to connect to the internet through the ethernet port? (I think the names of the 2 extra connections that came up whenever I made a new ethernet connection was parallel [something] 2 and parallel [something] 3).
