This intrigues me as I have a few friends who shower a lot of praise on this game but I never had a chance to play it. Like what I see so far.

I recommend using at least 3 or 4 of your save slots for rotating chronological save point milestones - in case of a corruption, you should only lose an hour or so (assuming you make a milestone save every hour or so - after completing quests/dungeons, before starting quests/dungeons, etc).

I'd recommend the other two save slots be used as "maybe/in progress" slots.
For times when you're in a dungeon, when you're on a potentially buggy storyline quest, etc.
This way, you can always abandon that entire "maybe/inprogress" slot in case of problems, and simply reload one of your milestone saves before you entered the dungeon or started the quest.

I only say this because I like you for making this LP, and don't want you killing yourself should you get 30-40 hours into it and lose your only major save point.
Or, daggerfall-loving forumers coming to kill you for losing your only major save point.
Or, Akatosh smiting thee for such a heinous act of temporal management.

Also, to go along with zhen's recommendations, learn bind/recall immediately. I don't care what class you are, you want to get the fuck out of dungeons fast. Also, if you get stuck, it's an immediate "I'm free!" button.

I'll have an item by the end of the dungeon. Save game editors are so helpful.

AND I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF YOU GUYS DON'T LIKE IT, I'M DOING NOTHING WITHOUT AN ITEM OF MARK+RECALL.
This saves me from having to join the Mages Guild.

Save game editing for a Mark / Recall item??
I never needed no stinkin' Mark / Recall!:P
... but then again, I lost count of the characters that were abandoned because of the "One Way Magic Door". I sure that Bethesda considered that a "feature".

    !Right ... No! ... !Left ... No! ... AAAUUGGHHH!!

Go !Left, young man, and grow up with the country!

sigh! I rather missed the "built by drunken dwarves" style dungeons when I started playing Morrowind. Plus the very cool (for the time) dungeon mapping system. Be sure you screen shot that.

Where there is a choice, THE COIN OF DESTINY will always choose murder.

Come on, any artifact with that many capitals in its name is bound to be soaked in the blood of a thousand virgins or excavated from a pit sealed a thousand years hence when the Many Angled Ones shatter time or something along those lines.

It could be worse, you could have picked "short blade" as a forbidden type and then chosen the "Ebony Dagger" as your cherished possession. (Umm .... wait ... I've done that ...)

Do you think you will be able to solve the mystery of the "Wayrest Kid"? But I jump too far ahead, several quests and dungeons, and even assuming you decide to tempt the wrath of the "God of Savegame Corruption" by actually working on the main quest line!

Suddenly, a cold, icy fear grips my heart like the cold hand of ... hmmm ... there really isn't a Daedra Prince of Icy Hells, is there? ... anyway, if there was, he just froze my heart at the fear that you chose "Long Blade" as a "Forbidden Type", thus forever banning yourself, of your own free will(!), from the Glory that is Chrysemere!!D:

    fall_086.png

ZabaPort.png Up the stairs, turn to the righ--- oh hey, what's this?

Check out the Daggerfall capitol at night. Get caught stealing so you can trigger the Thieves Guild invite and show the courtroom. Demo a random quest? Show off banks and how absurdly priced the houses are?

On a random note, this game's music was fantastic. It was moody, simple and atmospheric. A far cry from Oblivion's overly dramatic and repetitive soundtrack.
