Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
This isn't a Timewasters thread, honestly it's not

I went to bed at 5 am yesterday because of Civilization 4.
I wanted to call in sick soooooooooooooooo baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
I won't be surprised if I don't actually go to sleep before 2 am or something.
I can get very drunk on one can of beer. You don't need to spend a lot of money on alcohol if you're a lightweight.
I wonder if my admin login still works...
Talk about old hat.
Someone find one on ebay.

We could pick popular books and record a chapter or two, with a different forumer reading for each character and the narrator.
What I'm trying to say here is if we're gonna do sprites steal the mold from some other webcomicist nobody gives a fuck about because I remember those days fondly.
It's funny you should say that, I'm watching one right now.
I was trying to make this happen and whilst the quality of submissions is there, the quantity has been left wanting.
It's 'in transit' apparently. Possibly lost or possibly just snarled up in international post. I think the draw back to that was that the rules prevented posting the contents until it was completed which I think takes a bit of steam out of the interest people had in it and if it has been lost then the content never gets posted.
TBH, it was a miracle that Desktop Hulk made it around as many people as it did. I think he broke on his first trip from me to Orthanc but at least never got lost. I think Mori still has him apparently, although not sure if he lost him or what. Relying on an object being posted makes it exciting but also makes for a high chance of failure. I had a reserve desktop hulk that I made a whole gift package out of and sent to a secret satan one year but I think he was a lurker and never really did anything with it.
Key requirements for a forum 'thing' (work in progress)
1. Avoid relying on a single object that has to be posted. Posting is ok so long as it's a duplicable object.
2. Avoid anything relying on too much effort. Some forumers are very artistic, creative and energetic. Most are not. Make it easy and more people will participate.
3. Make it simple. People are retarded, they can't follow more than one rule at a time.
4. Ensure mechanics allow for frequent updates to retain interest.
Illustrated Group Hug is probably a near perfect example of doing it right.

And I loved the timewasters threads!
laser eye.
Really it's Orthanc, Slarti and Janson. But Orthanc and Slarti both got good jobs that didn't allow them to post on the forums and Janson got married.
It's like a fucking Bryan Adams song.
In other news, I have a killer headache, 2 assignments that need to be handed in 2 days time, and work still hasn't paid me! Awesome.
Urg. I had a panic attack this morning, none of us got paid today. Not sure why, but I think we have been now. Don't need 'surprise, no wages!' when I'm sole supporter of a wife and baby.
The Summer of 69 COCKS! DICKS! LOL!

I'm counting to ten and then reporting you
You know, once you're done with it.
Maybe a dong slide whistle or something.
