Buses seem to be magnets for terrible, terrible children- I get the bus pretty much every day so I have a helluva lot of stories of shitty kids on buses

Most recently some little shit was fucking around and throwing rubbish at people while blaring tinny terrible music and sound effects out of his mobile phone. A can bounces off the headrest of the empty seat next to me and I turn around and look at him.

“The fuck are you looking at? Want to try something?”

I point to the ugly burn scar on my lip. “I got this from something a lot stronger and more dangerous than you, mate.”

“Yeah? Who was that?”

“Cup of coffee.”

Whole bus laughs at him. Even the little old ladies and the large bearded probably-a-former-biker-who-hates-everyone who always sits at the front. The kid sat back and silently sulked for the last five minutes of the journey, it was great.
