If that woman's cleavedge made one more person pick the game up off the shelf, it was a net positive for microprose. And to be blunt, if taking her top off could have increased sales enough to get a sequel, I'd endorse it 100000% because I like playing great games.

Is there any reason to play through them all?

I have the first GBA one (beat it once) and Sacred Stones (never played it), and I also have the Gamecube one still sealed. And then there's the Wii one and now the DS one. Is there any continuous story throughout?

I am currently playing through the entire Dragon Warrior series. I just finished DW2 before and started DW3 but I'm not very far into it. It seems quite a bit more complex than its predecessors.

I went back to NBC and this apparently is a TWO-HOUR Celebrity Apprentice.

The men lost and are ganging up on Andrew Dice Clay and Dennis Rodman, both of which are talking themselves into broken jawlines, Dennis threatening to quit.

And now NBC is promoting Trump's business tips.

TIP #1. Become too big to fail. After all, it worked for Trump.

Children of the Mind gets so fucking bizarre and preachy and awful at the end it's like a window into Card's delusional mind.

So yeah, I really like Children of the Mind, and sure, it's very dense and bizarre and idea-driven, but so are many other good novels. I don't buy that it's some kind of window into Card's mind in the sense that he actually believes the science fiction ideas he came up with for the book are real. Just that he thought they were interesting, perhaps an interesting metaphor.

Also, speaking as someone who met him personally and spent some time talking to him, the guy is totally sane. I don't know where this "you're conservative and possibly bigoted therefore you are crazy" meme comes from, but I'm pretty sick of some members of this forum assuming that about people. It's easy to close yourself off into a shell and think "people who don't share my views are insane", but it's stupid and wrong, even if your views are correct.

Most are standalone, but some are paired. FE6 wasn't released in the US, but is a sequel to the first GBA Fire Emblem (FE7). 8 (Sacred Stones) is standalone. 9 (Gamecube) and 10 (Wii) are one story. The DS one is a remake of the very first Fire Emblem and... kind of blows?

The opening credits of Watchmen was pretty good. Maybe I'll have to watch the movie after all.

    Without spoilers, tell me,
    1) Is it faithful to the comics or does it diverge wildly?
    2) Is it good for someone who has never seen or read Watchmen stuff?

I think a statistician is required to properly define it, but if you take any random sampling of 100 EMU students about 73 of them are bound to be douchebags. When 200+ are invited to the same place, at the same time, the results can be devastating.

There were changes, mainly with the ending, but I felt the changes were good and you can't expect the movie version to be 100% like the book.

I went with one friend who never read the book and she really enjoyed it, though another friend didnt but that's because she didnt like the gore and rape scene, also it was a silly stupid superhero movie (she has bad tastes in movies anyways)

The movie is extremely faithful to the book but in the interest of time they had to cut a lot of stuff. In some cases the scenes they kept were changed, sometimes for the worse. There were a few things that the movie did better than the book. If you haven't read the book you might not understand the movie as well as someone who did read the book, but you will also have the benefit of not comparing the movie to the book at every turn, which is what I did.

Also I am getting so sick of my bf's girlfriend. She is always so moody and fighty and it brings him down a lot. Tonight we were supposed to get drunk and play ps3/wii but she kept calling him when we were watching Sunshine and got angry that he couldn't talk much and angry about him not sitting next to her last night in the theatres and other minor bullshit that he just decided to go home.

    BITCH!
