Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
The wife just invited some friends from work over this week and we were thinking of putting our Wii to work after dinner. So, uh, what good ~6-player games are there for this badboy? I've already rented Rayman TV Party, which is sweet. What else?
The wife isn't really a gamer, but she likes: Death Tank, poker, Crash Bandicoot, tennis games, and whooping everyone's ass in Street Fighter.
My low point came while I was crushing man's skull like sparrow's egg between my thighs. But then I thought to myself, "who else would crush man's skull like sparrow's egg between his thighs?"
I have yet to find a more solid party game than Wii Sports Tennis. The only accessories you need are four (4) Wiimotes and one (1) bottle of Jack Daniels. I'm certain that Bomberman is also an instant party-starter.
House of the Dead: Overkill
Has four-player minigames, but you can play the 2-player with larger groups really well by having someone drop out whenever they die.
Wario Ware deserves mention for having built-in support for up to 12 players (switching off w 1 Wiimote).
Seconding that Boom Blox is a must-buy.
If you're going to play Wario Ware with a whole bunch of people, I'd recommend starting up a new single-player game and playing through that by passing the remote around. That way, everyone gets to see the tutorial screens and you get to mock and whine at each other whenever one of you screws over the entire group by failing a game. The game is so much better played cooperatively than competitively.
Bomberman Blast is cool but it can be frustrating because of how hectic the games get with 8 people.
I say if you get Boom Blox you won't be playing anything else that night. There is just too much to do in that game and too many awesome modes. Don't forget about War Lords in there.
Yeah, I'd recommend Wario Ware just as much as a 'one person plays, everyone else watches and laughs' as I would a full on party game. Some of the games are hilarious to watch, even if you fail. Especially the water drinking one, it's always hilarious to see someone try to drink water and splash it all over their face.

Yeah, I'd heard Boom Blox is awesome. I could't find any info on Wiki cuz I thought it was called Bloom Box.
How is Mario Kart if I'm too cheap to buy four wheels?
Still awesome. Wheel is nowhere near required.

Rock Band is awesome as well, though the initial investment's a bit steep.
Beautiful. I was pretty hesitant on getting this cuz of that issue...
Has anyone played the wiiware Bomberman? How fun is that?

Jungle Speed
Bomberman Blast
-Both support 8 local player simultaneous play
