The final final final finalist finally final fantasy begins tomorrow. Heavy reader interaction with this one guys, I hope more than a handful of people follow it. Based on my last screenshot LP and the other FF ones out there, I probably need not worry.


Anyways I'll give you guys a hint about the interactivity I'm planning. All decisions about party, names, and eventually order of sidequests will be done by meritocracy.

It's coming, though I think I'm starting a new thread.

I wanted it up yesterday, but that didn't happen. Today I'm a fair bit busier, but Friday seems likely as I have no pressing engagements.

I find naming everyone Terra was particularly hilarious on the console version. iirc, the GBA version displays the character image when they talk, don't they?

The rights to name people are going to be earned, you'll see. I've come up with something that should work out pretty well.

Most of the contests are going to be either find something awesome related to an FF game, very short twitter style essay answers, or trivia questions. Questions are going to go up in between sections where characters will be named or when the story eventually branches or much later on when the world completely opens up.

Since there are only so many characters in the game, the person who wins the naming of any given character is allowed to win that contest only once, but you can win every third decision on where to go next/which party to use.

Renames will be an option much later on if necessary. I reserve the right to close any contest without a satisfactory correct answer. Since it is a meritocracy I'm proposing here I've also decided my merit is worth the naming of the first three PC characters who appear on screen.

I think I've also come up with something right here on the spot; bonus points will be awarded to anyone who PMs me a better title for a given update. These points will be redeemable for priority choices on some of the near end game sections. Titles must be given before the next update is up, and I will give double points if you can give me an awesome title for a section before I even get there! Obviously you'll have to do that pretty close to the fact or else you won't be able to get a grasp on exactly when I will stop!

If you want to prepare stuff in Advance I'll let you know right now that I'll be wanting good fan art and remixes of various FF tunes and that knowledge of esoteric FF trivia bits will be pretty damn helpful.

Right after each update I'll post a time when the next question will go up. All trivia questions will be first one correct, all fanart, remixes, essays and such will be based on how much I enjoy it. Please PM me the stuff to avoid copy cats and clogging up the thread, I'll post the best of it in between updates anyways.
