Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

Hulu.com's one year anniversary

Hulu.com went live a year ago this week. A joint venture of NBC Universal and Newscorp, the site streams free video content produced by the two media conglomerates' television networks and movie studios. Most new episodes appear on Hulu either one day or one week after the original television airing. Most new episodes are available for about a month after the initial airdate.

Featured television networks include:

Fox (House, Dollhouse, Bones)
FX (Nip/Tuck, Damages, Rescue Me)
NBC (30 Rock, The Office, Chuck)
Sci Fi (Battlestar Galactica)
USA (Burn Notice, Monk, Psych)
Comedy Central (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report)

along with a back catalog of episodes of classic shows such as The A-Team, Arrested Development, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and NewsRadio.

The movie section features a somewhat limited offering of films from studios like Lionsgate, MGM, Twentieth Century Fox, and Universal.

For the weaboos, Hulu recently partnered up with anime licensors Funimation and Viz Media to stream some subbed and/or dubbed anime such as Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, and Shikabane Hime.

To celebrate the one year anniversary, Hulu is having a week of events at http://www.hulu.com/spotlight/fanappreciation:
Hulu wrote:
It's been one year since Hulu opened its doors to the public. And as our way of saying thanks for an incredible year, we're giving back to our users with a variety of new content, from more seasons of fan favorites to new shows, movies and animation. Check the calendar below for the latest additions, coming to you every weekday through March 20.

So this is the thread to celebrate your love of Hulu. Personally, about half of my network television viewing is through Hulu now. I only wish ABC and CBS would join up. Hulu is superior to their streaming offerings.

If you play a game and then are able to spend pages debating with someone on the actions of a faction within that game you probably just played a pretty sweet game.
