Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

Also, I'm horrendously disappointed in Red Alert 3. Like, seriously, what the fuck were you thinking, EA? Did you even bother to playtest the single player campaign?
Wow. Rapists and Humvee drivers.
wonderful
Hey I don't trust anyone on the internet.
Cept there was no guy.
What about people who deserve it in companies that are doing well?
I have a love/hate relationship with them. Their reach almost always exceeds their grasp.
I am kinda tired to go to class anyways so I hope its the former.

I got a bonus, then again my company didn't get bailed out.
today. [chat] says everything for me.
Am I advocating that the Humvee driver should go to prison? No. I'm advocating he have a tree fall on his Humvee. It's not the end of the world, and certainly well-deserved.
Ms. Cleo?
There definitely was a guy
He had one of the early, early models before celebrities started buying them and they started putting actual interiors in them. His had a canvas roof and doors that we would take off and then go drive through huge mud puddles where the mud would come up into the passenger compartment. When we were finished he'd take us kids to the carwash and we'd all sit in the car and get hosed off with the inside of the car. Then we'd get ice cream.
Can she talk to ghosts?

For what it's worth the division of the company that I work for is doing very well. Insanely so, even. This is our division's sixth "Most Profitable Year Ever" in succession.
There were headhunters literally hanging around outside the doors of our offices trying to scalp disgruntled staff when the whole bonus/raise question was still up in the air.
I bet you did :winky:

unfortunately there was no molestation
O_o
After sex I initiate a self-destruct sequence.
1) they never bother to include a multiplayer campaign because it's "too time consuming to play," even though it is what everyone wants
this one will patch it in, but thanks guys, do it for the game that is set in the 1700s, ie, the shit-ditch of history
2) the battle AI is abysmal, so the fun part of the game is instead the equivalent of punching a retard with a fist full of cavalry.
So basically you sit in the corner and cry?
Yes but see if you don't reward the employees now in these tougher times they might not be there for when things get better.
No, it's not certainly well deserved.
Let's revisit this. You draw an analogy between people who drive Hummers and rapists, and when I point out how absurd and loaded that is, you roll your eyes like I'm being dramatic. That's ridiculous. Then you go on to say that it's 'certainly well deserved' for a guy to have his car- his mode of transportation, and in many cases the lifeline he needs to keep his money rolling in for him and his family- fucked up because 'well, he's a really asshole kind of person'. No, I don't accept that premise that it's 'well-deserved'. I think it's a fucked up, sadistic fantasy. You're convinced that your neurotic hatreds are 'grounded in reason' when really they're completely out of proportion and fueled by your particular peeves. Your seething is no more grounded in reason than is the hatred of a guy who insists he's not a blind racist, he's just 'following the numbers, man'. Accurate stereotypes or not, you're just being a hateful, hateful dude.
*fisticuffs*
Yeah but it sounds way cooler the other way.
Also I hit buttons on my digital watch to help me pretend.
Yeah, I feel the same way. Why should a company that's doing well and what's to reward good employees suddenly not reward those employees?
Essentially, a company could use that excuse any time, that they're worried about things getting worse so they don't want to pay their people any more. It's dumb.
I know the ear one, but you've lost me with the tuna sandwich.
Companies that are doing well are already using this exscuse as a false dichotomy to let people go.
