Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

The TamBot will start to destroy us all- but it will never finish
This thing is the best thing, eva
Nappuccino - You are correct.
Mustang - I'm not sure why, but Tam is definitely going to be huge. It's the only thing I've decided for sure!
CyberMonkeytron3000 -
Who am I?
(I can't see myself in those sketches but I'm sure I will all be fine......)
crawdaddio - Your design is going to be very much based on an actual crawdad, but I'm hoping to put in some unique twists.
MagicToaster - I'm having trouble deciding to draw you as a toaster or as Pennywise.
Here's some more sketches, trying to finalize individual designs.
DesperateRobots:
The head will look much closer to one of DesperateRobots paintings, but the basic design is there.
D-Robe:
Needs work. I have the head where I want to be, but I'm having trouble putting his body design down on paper.
Tam:
Totally fun to draw. Basic design is very close to Tam's avatar, but with exposed joints and hopefully tell-tale eyes.
Most of the designs are still in the planning stages, but if anyone totally hates their design, please tell me! I'm mosting doing this piece for fun/challenge/practice, but I would prefer if everyone liked the drawing I did of them as well.
Just playing with my new Wacom tablet, added some colors so you can differentiate the robots. Not the final composition, but probably close to what I'll be going for:
Steam handle: Buckwolfe
Anything Zoids related makes me habitually squeal ... just a little.
Buckwolfe - I wasn't sure if you wanted to be included! I'll try to fit you in.
earthwormadam - I'll see what I can do.
MetroidZoid - I used to have a bunch of Zoids but I tore them apart for kit-bashing purposes. Not a good idea. Why did I destroy perfectly good toys to make terrible ones? It makes me sad.
crawdaddio - Glad you like it. I'm trying to be creative with all of the robots, but there's definitely going to be some robots that fall into existing categories.
If this were a real Zoid, it wouldn't walk ... it wouldn't need to! Bwahaha ...
His sig/av are ironic.
NaC:
And... i guess if you get more infractions you might be subject to a temp ban?
maybe.
You can, of course, skip any of those steps
I referenced T2 to see how many times the T-1000 knocked on the Voight's door.
Dang botp.
When you're dealing with word balloons, try giving them more of a "tv-screen" shape than an oval.

Alright, so I'm trying to do this tv-screen shapes but I'm not having much luck in Photoshop. Does this have to be done in Illustrator?
While I'm asking, it's probably better to do all typing in Illustrator, but for the Web Photoshop works just fine. Is the comic book industry using Illustrator for word balloons and type and Web artists are using Photoshop? Gabe seems to use Photoshop for everything and he does both print and Web. Is Dark Horse redoing all of the lettering in Illustrator? Nibcrom cornfused.
