Frank, I just want to come out of lurking for a second to say that, pose aside, the rendering is coming along pretty awesome. I used to not be a particular fan of a lot of your work because you seem to stick to low contrast a LOT, and it's great to see you do something with higher contrast, it has a pretty good sense of form.

so I just type in this box and it goes on the screen?

That picture is c quick concept piece. I have to do a bunch of illustrations for a book assignment for uni, due end of the year. The inconsistancies are partly because its 'quick', but it's more so i was too lazy to grid it up proparly. Very, very piss poor effort on my part.

Yup I think this is the problem with 80% of your stuff, you're trying to rush your way through everything by cutting corners. I've been guilty of this in the past and the thing is, if you cut corners, you cut out part of the learning experience. You don't have to be anally rententive about everything you draw, but the one mantra I have running through my head everytime I draw is "If it's not right, it's not right." Every little corner you cut for the sake of expedience lessens the quality of what you produce and lowers your potential for learning.

Me, I'd personally wonder what something really different, like a greenish theme, might do.

Try putting your donger in a dishwasher and see how that comes out.

    to the max

the definition of baller from urban dictionary:
A thug that has "made it" to the big time. Originally refered ball players that made it out of the streets to make millions as a pro ball player, but now is used to describe any thug that is living large.

    Graphics tablet

Most people here with one use Intuos and up, but there's a lot of variation in make, model, and size. I use an Intuos3.

Heh, well now it's matching the same color as the highlights....I was thinking it would look cool if you pushed the background to a cooler hue, instead. You've got red-violet to orange on the guy, so maybe go for a bluer violet than you originally had? Just my personal preference.

I just realized there's no outline on the elbow in frame 4, and since the rolled up sleeve is the same color as the shadow on his shirt, that's probably what's causing it.

The fact that you can see that with a .05 second frame delay is, frankly, astounding. Good eye.

@Urantia - holy shit, is that sword with a morningstar attached to the end? Awesome.

Edit: looks like the problem is in the 4-5 range, maybe.

    Spoiler:

the problem is at 4 and 5 for sure
what you need to do is pull the elbow out a bit at 5. try doing that yourself, you wouldn't just jut your arm straight up and down. as you pump your arms while running, they naturally move in a smooth arc. so just pull the elbow out some more and you'll be golden, pony boy.

Hrm. I'm going to have the same problem at... 9 and 10, too, since the outlines are identical at every frame +5.
