Just a tip, try bouncing your flash. Take a some thick white paper (like a few flash cards) and put it right under the flash so that it bounces off the flash card and hits the ceiling. Your pictures may come out darker, but you'll avoid that direct flash look, you know?
Oh, also.. Good God Man, you're amazing.
Could the clothes be more bloody/ripped? The pants espically look like they're in good condition for a chick with no face.
Also are you keeping these or are you thinking of tossing them up on e-bay?
1) As a small side note, one day, I really hope to be King Penis of Fuck Mountain.
2) No shitty anime or wolf-people, take that crap to deviant art
Why?
You essentially modified an already mass produced toy. Featuring a stock picture of a the toy, in this case a Bratz doll, simply next to the picture of a zombie really isn't strengthening your piece. The box can be a nice addition to a really wonderful piece, but if you don't have the design sense to do it, don't. Because, no offense to you, it looks amateur when compared to the mods you did to the doll. Make it look like it could have actually been a real bratz doll. Emulate the packaging, make me believe this is actually a mass produced toy, because the physical product looks it, but the box you're putting it in doesn't.
I totally get the criticism here, but at the time of creation, I didn't have access to the packaging the dolls come in (the Bratz I used come second-hand from my little sister ), and I don't have the means to replicate clear-plastic blister packaging. For another project (My Little Ponies with infectious diseases, like ebola, black plague, etc.), where I actually did purchase the toys expressly for the purpose of customizing them, I did something more along the lines of what you suggested. Unfortunately, I don't have photos of those because I'm not with the person I gave them to anymore and I'm short sighted.
That was a bit of a tangent but yes, I agree with you. The box itself was kind of just an afterthought.
EDIT:
@lyrium: The mouthpiece was originally held on by two tabs on either side that clipped it into her face cavity. Since then, though, one tab broke off and was lost forever. The mouthpiece still stays in place; it's a little loose, but it actually comes off/goes on easier than before, and the thing isn't going to be bashed around like a typical toy anyway. If it were a problem, I would have molded another one on, but it works.
@Fuzz: Thanks for the tip! I'll be trying that.
@NakedZergling: As I mentioned, the Zombratz are gifts to my girlfriend. It won't be going on ebay, nor will the next one. As for the headcrab zombie, I'm pretty attached to it, but I'm not averse to selling. I'll probably wait until I have a few more HL2 characters done, or at least a few more sell-able figures, before hitting the ebay or anything like that. This is just a hobby, not a career.
