Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

You know, sure. Go for it.
By the way Pollo, how do you want to deal with the +2 base will from hypercool? Since it's only active in Monster form, I wasn't sure if you'd have it in effect part of the time or not at all.
Good question. I guess it should only be part-time, when you're in monster form. If that causes weirdness down the line we can fix it as we go along.
Also, can you start putting in the lower sense enemies actions at the end of the previous round[otherwise, this point i've got in "combat precog" isn't going to do me much good.
Also, its best not to roll all the sets at once. Two 5 die pools is much less efficient than one ten die pool.[edit: unless that was a sniper]
Ah. Now, with the power alone does that mean 5d (hyperstat) or 7d (base stat + hyperstat). Sorry if I'm nitpicky, but the details interest me.
Theoretically if they had magic bullets. My mistake. I remember looking back through the thread to check if you had gone insubstantial, I just missed it.
Ah, forgot that about grenades. That's what I get for updating so late at night.
I'll update with the next round's actions now.
For the enemies, I'm using the rules for squad mechanics. I think they're on the website, too. The odds shift a little, but it balances out because they roll less than half the dice they normally would. If you'd rather I did things individually, that's fine.
It would be 7d, since your bonuses are from the total. For pretty much everything, you'll usually count your stat and hyperstat together.
Ahh, that makes sense.
I am just looking at it from the perspective of a guy with heavy armor... where a width 2[4 killing/shock from a rifle] success doesn't even hit me.
It has reflexive too.
Edit: Oh, never mind on that first part, I read the narration a bit more closely.
Yeah, it's coming from along the north flank.
For cover, you make a coordination+dodge action, and the height determines how well you get into cover. They have a chart, but essentially you can hide a number of hit locations based on the height. You can hide 3 locations on a 1-3, four locations on a 4-7, and five locations on an 8-10.
edit: I also remembered that hypercommand can only give orders to one person at a time. I'll roll with it for now, but in the future it won't work on whole groups.
For example, if I unconventional move a trench towards the japanese MG, does that count as a defensive use of the power, or will I be doing multiple actions and therefore have to get a single match, with other matches counting as gobble dice of defend? (As I would think it'd work.)
Additionally, DO you guys want to try and take anyone prisoner? I certainly can take two guys prisoner if I size up. (Body 8 and two hands)
On cover: what are we taking cover behind when we roll for that? What does just going prone accomplish?
When you post an enemy's attacks, can you post who they're attacking? From what I understand I need to take a dodge action to dodge bullets, it isn't just reflexive.
What're the consequences for The Monster's left leg being full of killing damage? The manual says Cool 7 means he never takes penalties from pain, but is it blown clean off or just completely nonfunctional right now? Can a healer Talent negate the permanent side effects of full killing damage?
The most immediate and important question I have is this: on this coming turn, can The Monster throw a grenade at enemy group 2 and take cover as a multiple action?
Also, are the Japanese rifles penetrating, or are they just width +2?
Om nom nom.
If any of you want to keep going, I'd be glad to. I understand if you're over it, though.
