Anyway, my roommate is headed home for Easter, but is proceeding to flip his shit a bit, as his Laptop decided to do a BSOD on him. We're both fairly tech ignorant, but I was knowledgeable enough (meager people, honestly) to suggest he spam F8 at startup, and try working some virus scans in Safe Mode. BSOD on Safe Mode too.
He really needs the computer for some papers he was planning on doing while at the famillies' so I decided I'd turn to byte savvy denizens of this har forum.
The error code is: Stop: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x805375A7, 0xBAD0BAFC, 0xBAD0B7F8)
Google turned up natta for that specific code. I started mentioning drivers and the like to him, and I witnessed pallor tinging green.
Any help? I made him promise to pay 50$ to Child's Play if I can give him the answer, though he may suspect I'm funding some sort of child porn ring.
