Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Yeah motherfuckers, this thread is about Gundams and Gundam love. Not like, love between two Gundams, or a gundam and person, but love for the Gundam cartoons.
At the top of the list we have G Gundam. 'What is this g Gundam?' you ask?
One time, I had a friend over to play a bit of Red Alert on my LAN. During the game he said he needed to go to the bathroom, so we paused it. After about 10 minutes of wondering where the hell he went, I get up and go to check on him.
Once I was taking a poop at a restaurant and a kid crept underneath the door into my stall. I let out a big fart and then he threw up all over the floor in front of me and I just stared at him.
And all the UC stuff (except G-Saviour, and to a certain degree, F91)
Everything else that's been translated and brought over is pretty awful, though. That'd be Wing, SEED, SEED D, and what I've seen so far (about 12 episodes) of 00.
okay so I finally decided to give G Gundam a chance and just saw the first episode of it and kinda liked it
from all the praise I've heard, I'm assuming that the awesomeness of the series does not falter, but instead becomes greater as the show goes on

Episode 10 is when it starts to take off.
The only bummer is that there's a lot more filler than I initially remembered from seeing it on Toonami way back when. I rewatched it again with friends over the last couple months, and it'll have about 5 episodes of story and then 3 or 4 episodes of filler to pad it, followed by more story episodes.
Trying to rewatch Gundam Wing with a friend of mine right now. Man, it's terrible, but there's a lot more fighting than in most of the other series predating it. We're at the halfway point.
Your fuckin' family's dug into the Southie projects like ticks. You, however, grew up on the North Shore, huh? Well, la-di-fuckin'-da. You were kind of a double kid, I bet, right? Huh? One kid with your old man, one kid with your mother. You're upper-middle class during the weeks, then you're droppin' your "R"s and you're hangin' in the big, bad Southie projects with your daddy on the weekends. I got that right?
hadji you talking about the ghianna highlands bit? that shit drags on for awhile, yeah
Not only that, but it goes on:
The 5 episodes to introduce everyone
4 or 5 more where he meets them all a second time
Shinjuku
4 or 5 more where he trains with them all in the guyanna highlands
The end of the gayanna highlands arc
The tournament starts and there are 4 or 5 more episodes following them all around
Then some story
Then some more episodes following them
Then the last 10 or so episodes are just pure, non-stop awesome

Gundam 00 is watchable, in my opinion. I like the four main Gundams, and the smooth animation.
