Fortune Banshees with farseer, send them after the tac squad. Jump in warpspiders, slap guide on them.
Dead Tac marines very quickly. Repeat until all the tac swarm is dead, which is now like 2 or 3 units of them. Warp spiders do an insane amount of damage.
With the sergeant damage nerf, banshees aren't immediately shredded.
TSKNF is still annoying, but now they just act like damage soaks and don't do nearly as much damage.
All Hail the coming of the warp spider.
Oh Also, against a larget tac blob guardians throw nades at the marines in the back, if they duck them, then to cover the banhsees, the guardians get a little melee expeirence (not recomended, but prevents a shit ton of damage from hitting your banhsees).
I think I am gonna change my build order though and go Double platform to start now because I am so power hungry in the beginning with fortune armor and banshees, I can't afford the second wargear for the guardians.

Best way to kill tanks as Eldar is to get Warp Spiders + at least one other AT unit (Wraithlords work best, but a brightlance is probably what you'll have to use against an early walker/razorback) staition the AT unit close by, warp in the spiders, use their haywire grenades, pray that they accually do use their haywire grenades, then bombard it with your AT while it is stunned and cannot move.
Ideal? Hell no, but the best you can do on your own at T2/no farseer.

When I say throw a grenade, one guardian will sometimes break away from the pack to run up and throw the grenade himself. He dies pretty quickly. Then it's the next guy who drew the short straw's turn, he runs up to throw it all by himself. Dead. Just like ninjas in movies, when there's a pack of them, they still only attack one at a time.
It's even worse when the spiders do this with haywire, because he'll get killed, the tank will start backing away, and now it's just putting more distance between your spiders and their target.

Unless it's a falcon or a fire prism, because even if you click to back up, it apparently takes a few seconds for the driver to put it in reverse and even then, those drivers are not lead-footed in the least.

Just bite the bullet, warp in and chuck it at the tank. Then mash X depending on what is nearby.
Or you can be like cake? last night and hide your rocks alert under you looted tank and bait by bashees and warp spiders to attack it. Well played.
Prediction, eldar gates will be invaluable in tiber outpost. But not nearly as valuable as some nid's tunnels which will allow retreats and then quick reinsertion into the battle with no biomass cost.......

Even when I warp next to a tank, it's not really moving, and wait for everyone to get comfortable haywires will fail. I think I shall try just ordering them to melee the tank after a warp. After they attack, I shall throw it.

Also, Haywires may be broken but I lost more vehicles to them yesterday than I have since the game came out. When people are spamming warp spiders they get an extra try or two...and that is usually all it takes. And like Sep said, he managed to hit my looted tank with three of them......how bad can they really be?

DoW2 is running on a modified version of the CoH engine so despite the lack of information about it on DoWCodex, I'm just going to assume it works the same way.
In CoH, armor type had nothing to do with what a unit could smash through, really. Each vehicle was assigned a crush type. Light, medium, and heavy crush. Heavy crush vehicles like the larger tanks smashed through everything just like the vast majority of DoW2's vehicles do. Medium crush could smash through most heavy cover, but not some prohibilitively large obstacles. Light crush vehicles worked like the wartrukk.
According to DoWCodex, the wartrukk has the same vehicle armor that everyone else has, so relying on crush types to make it unable to destroy heavy cover would make sense.
