Spring Cleaning

WeaverWeaver Who are you? What do you want?Registered User regular

So far I've cut down a tree in the backyard, uprooted a bush on the side of the house that I'm going to replace with something that actually looks like a plant, and have trimmed up old growth from the rest of our shrubbery. I'm strapping my boots on right now to go out and finish mowing the grounds, and after that I need to keep on working what I can keep for firewood from the tree I leveled.

Once all of this is done I need to give the garage a good go-over since I spilled some oil in their while working on my wife's car.

What are you folk doing for spring cleaning?

Cleared away leaves that I missed in the fall. Snow came in quick this winter so I didn't have a chance to get them all. When summer hits in 2 weeks I'll be; removing whatever twigs and branches that have fallen in the storms that have rolled through in the past week, cutting back the ivy facing the lake and putting more gravel on one of the pathways leading down to the dock. So basically typical maintenance work.

    not yet!

i haven't been around people whom it would be effective with

most of my friends don't give a shit about things like ethnic slurs and use them in regular conversation

whole point is to see if i can shock someone with a nonsense word spoken with hatred and vitriol

I moved out my ex-house mate's shit (all his clothes, furniture, personal belongings) and threw them in his Tahoe which his mom is picking up on friday.

In preparation for the new Panasonic Plasma tv my other house mate ordered I wheeled out the old 50 inch rear projection tv (which was about 27 inches deep and 5 feet tall).

Plasma tv came today, we go to open it up and stick it in the nook it will ultimately occupy and I notice the back right corner is bent in slightly. Back doesn't look too bad and we get it on the stand and stick it up on the shelf. An inside pane of plastic/whatever in the screen is completely ruined. Giant crack running vertically from top to bottom with 20 other cracks radiating outward.

I cleared out about 300 pots of dead flowers and bushes that the previous owners left hidden in the woods behind my house, that was almost $2,000 worth of unused dead plants.

I'd tell my housemate to clean his shit up but honestly the only way to clean up the top floor of the house now would be with fire. And I enjoy living with a roof over my head.

Honestly, don't know how one person can make such a godamn mess.

I've been meaning to clean my car for ages. I keep it kinda tidy and organized so it's not like my friends' vehicles with CDs and empty wrappers covering the floor. Still, the windows are getting notably streaky and there is definitely a lot of gravel and dirt on the ground with the occasional stray hair or chewed sliver of finger-nail.

    It's kinda gross.

Next sunny day when I don't have work I am going to take some armorall and windex and a vacuum and go to town on the old girl.

LeSabre is a classy broad and just because she's a big girl doesn't mean she can't clean herself up now and again.

I just take the phone with me into the bathroom. Get some interesting conversations that way.
