Canadian buying songs from the Japanese iTunes store

Title says it all.

As a Canadian, is there any LEGAL way for me to purchase songs from the iTunes store in Japan?
Obviously, creating a new account with a fake Japanese address is out of the question (illegal), but if I were to buy on eBay or some place a Japanese gift card for iTunes, would I still need an account with an address or credit card? Are there any other online stores to buy Japanese music from?

Specifically, I want to buy some songs from the It's a Wonderful World (The World Ends With You) soundtrack: Calling, Transformation, Long Dream and Someday (the original versions, not the remixes).

I could buy the physical soundtracks and get Calling, Long Dream and Someday, but Transformation is on a EP that's only available through iTunes apparently. If I could find a purchase Transformation anywhere on the web, I'd be content with buying that disc + the soundtrack.

You don't need to give itunes a fake address. At the bottom of the store you can select country and Japan is on there. It's listed in kanji and at the very bottom of the list.

But then I'm told I'm only allowed to buy from the Canadian store with my account.

You need to make a new account for the Japanese store. So buy one of those Itunes point cards I see everywhere, make your new account in the Japanese store, and use the point card to purchase the songs.

I did it this way, but I was also living in Japan and using point cards I'd purchased there, so there is an off chance something might not work.
