That's why TBL on basic cable is a poor idea. If I see it's on and think to myself "Oh hey its TBL I'll watch this" I immediately whip out my DVD copy and stick it in, because there's far fewer interuptions, I won't miss anything if I get up to get a drink, and it makes far more sense, linguistically.
The former, sadly. I'll watch a movie in theatres or at a friend's house, and think 'man, I need that movie!' Then I'll buy it and never actually watch it.
Or I'll buy a DVD on the recommendation of a friend and never watch it. I still haven't watched Stranger Than Fiction, despite hearing great things about it and really digging the premise.
