My father listened to a lot of his stuff as I was growing up so much of that is stuff I was exposed to as well.

I can't think of a song of his I hate. He's a great performer and he never over charged unlike some of today's acts.

As classy as they come, to be honest. Interviews with him are pretty interesting. So utterly soft spoken when it comes to so many things.

Like, I don't routinely listen to Brooks, but Good Ride Cowboy is always on a country playlist of mine on my laptop.

And the guy was good friends with Chris LeDoux, so he can't be a bad guy.

I mostly listen to pop country I guess: Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, LeAnn Womack, and Hootie sans the Blowfish. I even liked the first Big & Rich album (the others haven't been as good), and I own the first Cowboy Troy album.

Oh man! The Avett Brothers are playing in Houston next Friday! I want to go, but I think they are only going to be opening for Dave Matthews. My dad listened to a bit of country while I was growing up. I've always loved Randy Travis. There is just somthing about his voice. I also like Brad Paisley and I like some of Toby Keith's songs. Willie Nelson is the best and my dad loved Johnny Cash so I listened to a lot of him too.
